Ric Flair explained his comments after receiving heavy criticism.
WWE great Ric Flair had a close relationship with Hulk Hogan from their days in professional wrestling. Recently, Flair shared claims about Hogan’s death and it received major backlash.
Hogan passed away in July after medics responded to a cardiac arrest call in Clearwater, Florida. Flair made a claim that street drugs were involved and after criticism, shared a post on Nov. 30 explaining his comments.
“There Seems To Be Some Controversy Over My Remarks That Street Drugs Killed Hulk Hogan. I Only Was Repeating What I Know To Be A Fact Through Family Members. After 11 Back Surgeries, Hip Replacements, Knee Replacements, Shoulder Replacement, And Two Neck Surgeries, I Am Sure The Pain Was Unbearable.”
There were been talks about Hogan’s declining health leading up to his death. This includes his wife, Sky, declining that he was in a coma while he was recovering from surgery. In June, TMZ reported on rumors that Hogan was “on his deathbed” but were told he was dealing with symptoms of a neck fusion procedure from May. Once he stepped out of the ring on a consistent basis, Hogan has gone through many medical procedures to fix certain injuries that he suffered during his career. This includes hip and knee replacements. Hogan previously stated that he had undergone around 25 surgeries over the last decade, with 10 being back surgeries.

Ric Flair Walks Back Comments on Hulk Hogan’s Death
On Tuesday, Ric Flair shared another post regarding his comments. Flair addressed Sky and walked back what he originally said, asking for it to be forgotten.
“Okay Sky! I Got Bad Information According To You. I Should Have Never Mentioned It. I Have Known Hogan Since 1979. Let’s Just Move Past This And Concentrate On His Legacy. Period, End Of Story. Let’s PRESERVE HIS LEGACY Rather Than Dwell On Any Negative Energy. I Repeat- Hulkamania Forever!”
