RICH PIANA THINKS YOU SHOULDN’T BE BODYBUILDING

Generation Iron Rich Piana Shouldn't Be Bodybuilding

Piana gets the Tosh.0 treatment.

The endeavor to build tremendous amounts of muscle is usually viewed by the public at large as a strange fascination; an addiction that needs to be treated by a psychologist. Anyone who wants to put on a ton of muscle is likely out of their mind, battle with self loathing, and could use some medication. In any event, the ideology of becoming a massive bodybuilder has never been treated with the utmost of respect. Most people who choose to build up their bodies likely just ignore the haters and continue on with what they have been doing. But things can get a bit more tricky when someone with experience in bodybuilding chooses to deter others from traveling down the same road.

.

One example is Sergio Oliva who wanted nothing more to see his son choose a different path in his life other than following in the Olympia champion’s footsteps. But Oliva Jr. chose to pursue bodybuilding of his own volition and not his father or anyone else could curb his thought process. Oliva Sr. had a different motivation for telling his son to avoid the process. The sport hadn’t been kind to Oliva Sr. and it left a bitter taste in his life. He didn’t want his son to go through the same things that he had.

But where Oliva’s warnings to his son was born out of concern for financial stability and integrity, Rich Piana has recently suggested to avoid bodybuilding for  another reason.

Recently, Rich Piana, got called onto the latest season of Tosh.0 because of his massive muscle and insane personality. And though his interview contained the traditional humor you’d expect from Tosh – Piana also gave some straight point blank opinions about bodybuilding. More specifically, about whether or not he thinks that the lifestyle is actually healthy. Check it out below:

Though the clip may be humorous you have to wonder about the validity of the statements Piana makes. On one hand he’s stating that kids shouldn’t put their bodies through so much unhealthy trauma. But on the other hand he just recently promoted an insane 30 lbs in 3 months bulk for the whole world to see. Rich Piana claims his bodybuilding upbringing made him “screwed from day one.” Is it possible he regrets the mass monster life he made for himself?

What’s you take on Rich Piana’s statements?
