Sam Sulek Discusses Bodybuilding Plans Moving Forward

Like many other competitors, the topic about moving up into Men’s Open or plans for the Olympia have been centered around Sam Sulek. He discussed both options previously and for now, wants to stay in the Classic Physique division.
“It won’t be so tight for the Pro weight cap but if I ever outgrew it, that’s fine by me. I’ll just move up. Why compete with the guys that are 280 if I’m only going to be at 230? It doesn’t make any sense. Give it some time.”
Sulek became one of the biggest fitness stars in the world — both literally and figuratively. He was known for his intense training styles that led to an impressive physique. As he works his way into bodybuilding, Sulek shared that his goals are different than they used to be.
“I used to imagine 300-pound Sam Sulek. I was like’ yeah once I get to 300′ but it’s something where you actually get to a different position just over time and through progress, you’re going to have a different perception of what you actually want.”
Recently, it was announced that Andrew Jacked would be competing in the 2026 Arnold Classic. Jacked finished third at last year’s Arnold, behind Derek Lunsford and Samson Dauda. He will be one of the headliners in the Men’s Open division with others coming as well. It will be interesting to see who commits to Columbus but for now, Sam Sulek will take the stage as a Classic Physique bodybuilder.
Sam Sulek Age, Height, and Weight
- Sam Sulek stands at 5’11” tall, and is still very young, having just turned 22 in February of 2024. Though he is young, he still carries around a massive amount of muscle mass and relatively low body fat levels, even during his bulking phase. It is also worth noting that his muscle mass is very matured, meaning there are striations and it is well-developed as though he has been lifting for decades.
- When he is trying to put on size, Sam Sulek weighs around 240lbs. It is not often that you see younger bodybuilders holding that much muscle.

So, how did he get that big? While some solely blame steroids for his success, Sulek’s weight, like most bodybuilders, is not constant. His weight certainly varies based on his bulking routine or cutting periods. Many bodybuilders tend to fluctuate in weight or put on more mass to develop more of his muscles. At the end of one of his cutting seasons in October 2023, Sulek weighed in at 233 lbs (105 kg).
