Sulek cannot earn his Pro Card at the event this weekend but would be able to if he moves onto the Arnold.
“The overarching plan is, this is a qualifier show so once I head home, assuming I actually meet those qualifications, that means I get to do the Arnold Amateur. That’s like three weeks away so let’s focus on what’s right in front of us.”

Sam Sulek Explains Plans To Compete This Weekend
Sulek has been sharing videos of his workouts and days of eating as he cut down this winter. He explained that those days are over but does not plan to change much in terms of his calorie intake or workouts. Sulek will also continue to do cardio each day for at least one hour. Once the end of the week comes, he will reevaluate.
“No more winter shredathon. No more just dieting down, this that or the other. It’s show week. It’s debut show week.”
At the beginning of his video, Sulek was eating a meal consisting of egg whites and rice cakes. He shared that this is what is mostly in his fridge at this point, along with ground turkey and cans of tuna. He is focusing on lean proteins during show week. Many fans have been waiting for Sulek to take the stage and that wait is now over.
“I got the posing trunks. I got tanned scheduled. Finally, the long-awaited ‘when is Sam gonna oil up’ can be answered.”
Sam Sulek’s Grocery List
Sam Sulek has been focusing on fat loss over the course of the winter season. He has hit the grocery store with different goals in mind. While taking a trip to the store, he shared his haul with fans as he avoided all of the sweets and treats and loaded up on protein sources to help aid in fat loss:
- 5 cans chicken
- 3 packs top-round boneless steak
- 5 pounds lean ground beef
- 2 packs deli turkey
- 4 containers eggs
- 1 pack Kraft cheese slices
- Low-carb bread
- Low-carb tortillas
- Carb-Smart buns
- Light-fat mayo
- Sugar-free ketchup
- Mustard
- Cold Brew Coffee
“I feel like my grocery trips are so sparse now. If I get a couple pounds of ground beef, a few tubs of egg whites, a couple of protein shakes, not for majority but sometime, it’s a helpful tool. It’s like I’m actually getting groceries at the rate of a normal dude.”
