Oliva Jr. last competed during the 2023 California State Pro, where he finished third in Men’s Open. This was an extremely impressive performance given the fact that Oliva Jr. had not been on stage in two years. Prior to California, Oliva Jr. last competed at the Legion Sports Fest Pro in 2021.

Oliva Jr. spoke on his recent split from Dorian Yates due to issues with his visa. In June, the bodybuilder was not issued a visa and was forced to leave Spain, which forced him to change his plans moving forward. This means not finishing his prep with Yates but has keyed in on other methods that seem to be working when looking at his latest physique update.

In November, there were five episodes released of GI Conversation With Sergio Oliva Jr. The bodybuilder went through different aspects in bodybuilding and his personal life, including how he recovered from depression to the current state of the Men’s Open division.

Sergio Oliva Jr. has shown off his mindset as he heads into the new year – fully focused on returning to the competitive bodybuilding stage and living up to his father’s legacy. With a new coach in hand and a willingness to completely transform his method for a “2.0” version of himself, Sergio believes now is the time to strike for winning the Mr. Olympia title.

With a refreshed mindset and a carefully crafted game plan, Sergio is committed to overcoming the obstacles that previously held him back. His honesty about setbacks and renewed focus on self-improvement make this episode both inspiring and insightful, offering valuable lessons for aspiring bodybuilders and fans of the sport alike.
