Shaun Clarida will return to the biggest division with new guidance!
Shaun Clarida is no stranger to the Men’s Open division despite being a 212 standout over the course of his career. On Wednesday morning, “The Giant Killer” announced that he will test his hand one more time in the biggest division in bodybuilding and do so under the guidance of a new coach.
Clarida had been working with longtime coach Matt Jansen but the two parted ways following the Olympia. Now, Clarida has joined forces with Stefan Kienzl, who has coached the likes of Nathan De Asha, Urs Kalecinski, and Wesley Vissers.
“I have decided to work with Stefan, the Boss of Outlaw. He and I had a phone call, had a very extensive conversation. Things went very well. I was happy with what he had to say. right after the Olympia, we started working together and put a game plan for the Prague Pro.”
Clarida is a former 212 Olympia champion, winning titles in 2020 and 2022. He has also finished as the runner-up three times. This includes in each of the last two years as Keone Pearson has risen to the top of the division.

Bumstead shared that he is retired following his sixth consecutive Classic Physique Olympia title but will make one final run in the biggest division.
Shaun Clarida will focus on his conditioning as he prepares for Prague. He shared his mindset of low risk, high reward heading into the event.
