The Rock talked recent sale of Olympia, favorite bodybuilders, with Patrick Bet-David.
The Rock is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood and a successful businessman off the big screen as well. We have seen Johnson take on many different ventures over the course of his career and was “close” to acquiring the Mr. Olympia as well.
Dwayne Johnson joined Patrick Bet-David for an interview special on YouTube. He made comments in December about how he felt the Olympia made a mistake by not selling to The Rock and doubled down on this notion during the conversation. According to Johnson, there were discussions within.

Bet-David doubled down on his opinion that the Olympia made a mistake not getting involved with The Rock.
“I thought it was a very smart move of them to sell it to you guys. I’m surprised they didn’t. In my opinion, it’s their loss.”
The Rock Talks Favorite Bodybuilders
The conversation continued with The Rock discussing his favorite bodybuilders. He became a fan of bodybuilding at a young age and believed the physiques from the 80s were hard to beat.
“They were also coming out of the 80s too. Out of the 80s aesthetically, the bodybuilders’ bodies just looked different. The Arnold’s of the day, Frank Zane. They really had some pretty impressive physiques.”

Johnson was asked to pick out his favorite bodybuilder and the answer was a familiar one.
“Physique-wise, I would say Arnold in his heyday.”
Patrick Bet-David went onto explain his meeting with the Olympia CEO three months before the sale. He asked about the sale and was told that it was not available. This came months before it was sold to Jake Wood and Dan Solomon. Now, The Rock does not have interest in acquiring the Olympia but the discussions were there initially.
