The Rock has taken on brief stints recently back in the WWE and this includes headlining WrestleMania last year, preparing for his new role. Johnson returned to the WWE and created a rivalry with Cody Rhodes as he looked to finish his story at the biggest event in professional wrestling. He shared that he will be returning to Friday Night Smackdown soon to create another chapter.
Whether he is in the wrestling ring or on the big screen, Johnson continues to perfect his physique and create one of the best there is in Hollywood.
The Rock’s New Leg Day Routine
The Rock shared his full leg day routine consisting of warmups and what he called four monster sets:
Warmup
- 10 minutes cardio
- 3 sets Adductors
- 3 sets Barbell Glute Raises
- Foam roller, leg kicks, stretches
Monster Sets
Johnson took on these movements one after the other with no rest.
- Leg Press
- Vertical Leg Press
- Walking Dumbbell Lunges
- Leg Extensions
- Barbell Squats – Finisher
“Leg workout as been a b*tch. I did four monster sets to start off with, my hams, my glutes, and all my stretches. We did leg press, regular, vertical, waking lunges, dumbbell lunges, and leg extensions.”
The Rock decided to put squats at the end of his workout rather than the beginning because he feels he gets a better session like this. He racked up 225 pounds on the bar and finished his workout.
“I like to put my squats at the end of the workout. I don’t like to go too heavy with squats. No need to put that much weight on my back. Those days are over. I find it that I get a better workout when I put squats at the end.”
The Rock has become known for his insane workouts in the gym and legendary cheat meals outside. He has shared many different meals taken down and this includes a protein-filled breakfast he eats before hitting the gym:
- 4 whole eggs
- 6 ounces grilled buffalo
- 2 ounces brown rice cereal
- Garlic powder
- Stevia & vanilla extract
Dwayne Johnson continues to be one of the biggest stars in Hollywood and is influential in many different areas. This includes his work in the gym, inspiring others to be their best while creating an incredible physique of his own.
