Tom Platz: “Bodybuilders Are Underpaid”

Tom Platz believes that bodybuilders need to make more money, especially when looking at how other sports are paid. He highlighted golfers on the PGA Tour.

“Bodybuilders are Underpaid. The worst golfer on the pro tour makes about a half a million dollars a year. Failure at golf makes a half a million dollars a year.”

In 2022, Hadi Choopan won $400,000 for the Men’s Open title at the Olympia. Furthermore, the average golfer on the tour mad $1.5 million. According to Platz, this is the issue.

“And I think we need to train our young men and women on how to be how to represent and I was working with Sergio Oliva Jr. I said go and represent. Put the suit on and put the tie on. Represent your dad. Your dad was the myth.”
