Tren Twin Questions Steroid Use, Says He’d Rather Compete Natural in Latest Workout Video

Tren Twin Questions Steroid Use, may only bring him “closer to death”

Christian Gaiera of the Tren Twins sparked debate among bodybuilding fans after openly questioning the cost of steroid use during a recent workout video.

While training with friends, Chris launched into a candid discussion about the risks that come with constantly chasing a bigger physique. The comments immediately grabbed attention because they came from one half of the Tren Twins, two of the most recognizable fitness influencers in bodybuilding.

At one point in the video, Chris wondered whether the pursuit of more muscle was really worth the health risks.

“Why are you doing it? Because you need bigger legs to win a competition that doesn’t even matter, to win a trophy.”

The conversation then turned directly toward steroid use and longevity.

“It’s bringing me closer to my death.”

Moments later, Chris doubled down on the idea that natural competition may be a better path.

“I’d rather compete natural. I’d rather compete natural. I love the game. I love the game, right? But why I got to do all this?”

Someone shouted after the remarks – “The Tren Twins are going natty!”

Healthy Skepticism Is Warranted

Fans should probably take the comments with a grain of salt.

Chris did not announce plans to immediately stop using performance-enhancing drugs, nor did he formally state that he intends to compete as a natural athlete. Instead, the discussion appeared to be more of a philosophical debate about the tradeoffs that many bodybuilders face when trying to reach the highest levels of the sport.

Still, the comments stand out because they touch on a subject that many athletes rarely discuss publicly.

The further competitors push their physiques, the more they often have to balance performance goals with long-term health considerations. Chris openly acknowledged that reality during the workout, questioning whether additional muscle mass and competitive success justify the potential consequences.

Who Are The Tren Twins?

Christian and Michael Gaiera have become two of the biggest personalities in fitness social media. The twins first gained popularity through their intense training videos, powerlifting feats, and no-filter personalities before eventually stepping onto bodybuilding stages themselves. They have amassed millions of followers across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok while building one of the fastest-growing brands in fitness.

The brothers have previously discussed PED use publicly and have never shied away from conversations surrounding the enhanced side of bodybuilding. That history is part of why Chris’ comments generated immediate attention among viewers.

Whether this was simply a moment of frustration, a serious reflection on health, or the beginning of a new mindset remains to be seen. For now, Chris Tren Twin has at least started a conversation that many bodybuilders quietly wrestle with: how much size is worth sacrificing long-term health for?
