The Tren Twins are Officially Heading Back to the Bodybuilding Stage, Coach Confirms to Generation Iron
After months of speculation from fans across social media, Generation Iron has learned exclusively from coach Kyle Wilkes that the popular fitness influencers the Tren Twins are now fully locked into contest prep for another bodybuilding competition, which is expected to take place in roughly 14 weeks.
That confirmation instantly adds major buzz to what could become one of the most heavily followed amateur bodybuilding preps online this year. Known for their massive lifts, high-energy training style, and enormous social media following, the Tren Twins have built a fanbase that stretches far beyond hardcore bodybuilding audiences. Now they’re once again aiming to prove that their physiques can translate from viral gym clips to the competitive stage.
Tren Twins Have Competed Before
This won’t be the first time the twins have stepped into NPC competition.
The pair previously competed at the NPC Southern States Championships in 2024, with Mike entering bodybuilding and Chris competing in Classic Physique. Social media coverage from the event showed Mike winning his class while Chris also competed in the Classic Physique division.
That appearance generated massive attention online and gave fans their first real look at how the brothers stacked up in an actual competitive setting rather than just social media training content.
Now, with another prep officially underway, expectations are even higher.
Day One Prep Workout Was Pure Tren Twins Chaos
The announcement came alongside a brutal “Day One” training video that immediately reminded fans why the twins became internet sensations in the first place.
The workout focused heavily on shoulders and chest, featuring massive weights and extremely high intensity throughout the session.
Tren Twins Day One Workout
- Dumbbell Shoulder Press: 150-pound dumbbells
- Smith Machine Shoulder Press: 315 pounds
- Lateral Raise Machine
- Dumbbell Lateral Raises
- Pec Flies
- Bench Press: 405 pounds for 6 reps
Even by influencer fitness standards, those numbers are eye-opening. Throwing around 150-pound dumbbells for shoulder presses and repping 405 on bench during the opening stages of prep shows the kind of raw strength the twins are bringing into this offseason transformation.
Can The Tren Twins Become Legitimate Bodybuilding Threats?
That’s the real question surrounding this prep.
Nobody doubts the Tren Twins have elite gym strength or one of the biggest fan followings in the fitness industry. The bigger debate is whether they can refine their physiques enough to become truly dangerous bodybuilding competitors against seasoned NPC athletes.
Classic Physique and bodybuilding competition demand far more than viral lifts. Conditioning, posing, symmetry, presentation, and peaking all become critical once competitors hit the stage.
Still, the twins clearly have size, intensity, and the kind of natural charisma that draws attention immediately. With a full prep now confirmed and coach Kyle Wilkes guiding the process, fans will be watching every update closely over the next 14 weeks.
And if the opening workout is any indication, this prep is going to be anything but quiet.
