TRY JOHNNIE O. JACKSON’S PSYCHOTIC CHEST ROUTINE

Generation Iron Johnnie O. Jackson

Insane gains.

Not every bodybuilder gets their due. There are too many different bodybuilders that compete on both the amateur and pro stages that never quite get the recognition that they deserve. Many are overlooked, counted out, considered nowhere near the caliber of the competitors that reside in the top 10 of the open weight division. We usually tend to focus on the Phil Heaths, the Kai Greenes, the Dexter Jacksons of the world rather than some of the other great competitors that grace the stage. Professional bodybuilding is a competition, so it’s not surprising that people are going to pay close attention to the athletes at the top – but to discard the achievements of other great bodybuilders is truly doing a disservice to the competitors hard work and dedication not to mention the sport itself.

An athlete that deserves way more credit than he’s given is one of the strongest bodybuilders to ever compete in the sport, Johnnie O. Jackson. Many people know him as the training partner of Branch Warren, but the man is so much more than that. He’s a former military man and powerlifter who transitioned to bodybuilding when he decided to switch gears. Jackson realized that he had proficiency with putting on quality muscle and has since put his genetic gifts to the test.

It’s easy to forget that Johnnie is up there in age when you see him lift as well as when he hits the stage. Much like Dexter Jackson, Johnnie has shown the world the benefits of sticking with bodybuilding even after hitting the age of 45. Just like the former Olympia champion, Johnnie O. Jackson has looked as if he’s found the fountain of youth and continues to train hard and compete to this day.

Just how hard does Jackson train? Well check out the video below for an example of Jackson’s insane chest day routine and get a taste of just how much time and hard work the bodybuilder puts into his training. He may not get the attention or praise of Phil Heath – but that doesn’t mean his workout isn’t a hellish powerhouse of a routine that will get you aching. Try it out for yourself and see if you can survive:
