Victor Martinez Addresses Steroid-Related Testicular Shrinkage
One fan question referenced the late Rich Piana, who previously joked that testicular shrinkage caused by steroid use could actually improve someone’s appearance by making their penis look larger in comparison. The fan wanted Victor Martinez to address whether steroid use really causes testicles to shrink and, more importantly, which aesthetic looks better.
Victor did not take long to dismiss the argument. He described appreciating this particular side effect as “some messed up shit,” suggesting that trying to find an aesthetic benefit in an otherwise negative consequence of steroid use is a questionable way of looking at things.
Victor confirmed that anabolic steroid use can cause testicular shrinkage. This happens because external testosterone and other anabolic compounds can suppress the body’s natural testosterone production and the hormonal signals responsible for normal testicular function.
As for whether it looks better to have the testicles hanging lower than the penis or vice versa, Victor was not particularly enthusiastic about either option. He also joked that if someone already has a smaller penis, shrinking testicles are not necessarily going to improve their overall appearance. Ultimately, his position was that neither option is particularly desirable.
How Much Gear Is Victor Martinez Still Using?
Another fan wanted to know how much performance-enhancing drugs Victor Martinez is currently using. The bodybuilding legend revealed that he is taking approximately 1cc per week.
Victor explained that he has reached a different stage in his life and no longer needs the amounts he once required while actively competing. He also discussed how his physical condition changed following spinal surgery, revealing that his weight dropped to approximately 185 pounds. This was one of the lightest weights he had experienced in many years.
According to Victor, his current approach has helped him get back on track and maintain the physique he wants without putting unnecessary stress on his body. He believes that his current amount is sufficient for maintaining his testosterone levels and overall physical condition at this stage of his life.
His comments also reflected an important distinction between bodybuilding during a competitive career and maintaining a physique after retirement. Without the demands of professional competition, Victor sees little reason to push his body beyond what he considers necessary.
Victor Martinez Is Concerned About 21-Year-Old Bodybuilder Sjo Herben
One of the more serious discussions involved 21-year-old Dutch bodybuilder Sjo Herben, who has attracted viral attention for his extreme bodybuilding lifestyle.
Victor Martinez expressed genuine sadness and disappointment over Herben’s situation. He initially thought the videos were AI-generated because of how extreme the young bodybuilder’s appearance and lifestyle seemed. After realizing that Herben was a real person, Victor became even more concerned.
Victor believes Herben is putting his physical and mental health at serious risk for online attention. He also worries that younger viewers might see the content, fail to recognize the dangers, and attempt to imitate the behavior themselves.
Victor described the situation as someone potentially trying to commit suicide through bodybuilding. At just 21 years old, he believes Herben is jeopardizing his future for internet attention.
The discussion highlighted a growing problem within fitness social media: extreme physiques and dangerous behaviors can attract enormous engagement, even when the content being promoted raises serious health concerns.

Victor Martinez Is Not Impressed by Shaquille O’Neal’s Arnold-Inspired Workout
The podcast also discussed a viral moment featuring NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal showing off a shirtless workout inspired by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
While the footage generated plenty of attention online, Victor Martinez was not particularly impressed with Shaq’s physique. He described it as alright but nothing extraordinary.
Victor admitted that he is somewhat biased because he has never been a particularly big fan of Shaq as a basketball player. However, his larger criticism centered on the resources available to wealthy celebrities.
Victor has repeatedly argued that wealthy individuals have access to virtually every advantage when it comes to improving their physiques, including personal trainers, nutritionists, private facilities, and other professional resources. Because of that, he does not believe someone should automatically receive praise simply for deciding to get into better shape.
In Shaq’s case, Victor felt that the results were not impressive enough to warrant the attention the viral moment received.
Is Tom Cruise’s Viral Arm Photo AI-Generated?
Another celebrity fitness conversation involved a photograph of Tom Cruise appearing to show unusually large arms. The image prompted speculation online about whether artificial intelligence had been used to enhance his physique.
Victor Martinez believes the photograph is AI-generated. Although he acknowledged that Cruise is clearly in excellent physical condition, something about the proportions of his arms appeared unnatural.
He pointed out that the photograph looked like Cruise had just finished an intense workout and achieved an impressive pump, despite supposedly showing him coming off an airplane. Victor also questioned whether the actor would actually want arms of that size, considering the physical appearance and proportions required for his film roles.
Should YouTube Censor Bodybuilding and Fitness Influencers?
The final major topic focused on censorship following several high-profile YouTube channel shutdowns. Tiger Fitness, media entrepreneur Fouad Abiad, bodybuilder James Hollingshead, and influencer Clavicular were among the names discussed in connection with recent platform enforcement actions.
Co-host Vlad Yudin raised an interesting question. If Victor is so concerned about influencers promoting dangerous lifestyles (as noted in the Sjo Herben discussion), would he support social media platforms banning creators who consistently set negative examples?
Victor strongly questioned the motivations behind these decisions. He argued that major social media platforms are controlled by enormous corporations with significant financial and political influence. In his view, allowing these companies to determine which voices can remain online creates serious concerns about freedom of speech.
He also challenged the assumption that discussing illegal substances automatically provides justification for removing a creator from a platform. Simply discussing illegal activities does not necessarily mean someone is participating in or encouraging those activities.
Co-host Ehsan Farahi offered a different perspective, arguing that some level of censorship and content moderation is necessary. He pointed out that the internet has fundamentally changed how information reaches the public. Anyone with a smartphone can now publish content to millions of people, creating opportunities for misinformation and potentially dangerous advice to spread rapidly.
Ehsan believes platforms have a responsibility to protect younger and more impressionable audiences from misleading information. Before social media, traditional broadcasting had natural barriers to entry. Today, those barriers have largely disappeared, creating a new challenge for content moderation.
Victor agreed with the importance of fact-checking and protecting audiences from misinformation. However, he warned that censorship can become a slippery slope. He questioned why established fitness channels that are not operating as scams should face deplatforming rather than more targeted moderation.
Ultimately, the podcast discussion revealed a complicated divide within bodybuilding. While creators should be held accountable for dangerous messaging, deciding who gets to speak and who gets removed from major platforms raises equally important questions about transparency, accountability, and freedom of expression.
