The 2023 CrossFit Games occur August 1-6 in Madison, WI.

Are you excited for the kickoff of the 2023 CrossFit Games? Scheduled to commence on August 1, this year’s edition promises an exhilarating six-day quest to crown the world’s fittest athlete. Nestled in the picturesque city of Madison, Wisconsin, it features many events meticulously designed to challenge participants in speed, strength, endurance, and power.

Athletes in the Men’s division of the NOBULL Crossfit Games this year will compete with two-time consecutive winner and title-defender Justin Medeiros. He’s the current “Fittest Man in the World” and will aim to win that title again for the third consecutive year.

For the women’s division, six-time champion Tia-Clair Toomey will not compete this year after giving birth to her daughter in May. This leaves the field open for other competitors to win this year’s coveted title. The reigning teams champion CrossFit Mayhem Freedom isn’t on the roster for 2023, either.

CrossFit has also announced several events for the fitness public to join in, including a global 5k run on August 4. There will also be themed appreciation days for service members in CrossFit. We’re excited to bring you all the updates and events as they happen, so ensure that you stay tuned!

2023 CrossFit Games Events

The 2023 CrossFit Games will start with the Adaptive and Age Group divisions on August 1. Teams and Individuals will start on August 3 with 40 competitors, which will be reduced to 30 by August 4 and then 20 by August 5. The final award ceremony will happen on Sunday, August 6, when the Fittest Woman, Man, and Team will receive their crowns.

CrossFit HQ usually leaves their event programming a mystery until the competition nears and even up to a few minutes before the event. That’s because they believe the Fittest Athlete should be able to handle any task given. However, they reveal some events beforehand, so here’s an up-to-date list of what to expect. We’ll update this with every new info that we receive!
