Romina Basualdo wins the 2023 Grl Pwr Bodybuilding Championship!
The 2023 Grl Pwr Championships took place on Saturday with the Bikini division being the focal point of the event. Many competitors gathered in Orlando in attempts to punch their ticket to the 2023 Olympia. In the end, it was Romina Basualdo who reigned supreme and was crowned champion.
Basualdo will now compete at her third consecutive Olympia competition, finishing in the Top 10 in each of the previous two. The Bikini division has turned into one of the deepest in bodybuilding and Basualdo is an elite competitor. In 2022, she won the Atlantic Coast Pro and qualified for the Olympia. This year, she did it with plenty of time to spare.
The qualification system for the Olympia has changed a bit since the points system was eliminated. Now, competitors will have to win a show in order to compete on the biggest stage in the world.
