Here’s a breakdown for the Ms. Olympia division at the 2025 Olympia
The prestigious Ms. Olympia competition is scheduled for this weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fans have been buzzing with excitement and anticipation. Notably, this year’s event will feature a select group of just 14 qualified athletes, meaning the competition will be close.
Our team at Generation Iron has the breakdown.
What is Ms. Olympia?

Women’s Open, as a division, has had a colorful and winding history. After starting in 1980, it was discontinued in 2014, a pause that lasted six years until its return in 2020. During this time, the premier women’s bodybuilding show was the Rising Phoenix, which is why you’ll find the names of many of this year’s competitors on the roster for that.
This year’s Ms. Olympia fans are watching for Andrea Shaw, as she is certainly a force to be reckoned with Shaw won her first Ms. Olympia title at her debut in 2020, beating other Olympia veterans like Helle Trevino, Mayla Ash, and Maggie Martin.
The Women’s Open division has increased in popularity during this dominance by Andrea Shaw. However, she has a bit of competition this year if she wants to upgrade that to a five-year dominance.

Women’s Bodybuilding Competitors to Look Out For
Qualifying for Women’s Bodybuilding at the 2025 Olympia this year was no easy task. Out of the 12 competitors who qualified, nine had to win pro shows. These bodybuilding competitions take a lot of hard work to dominate, so you can be sure that every competitor is bringing their best and has a chance of getting the crown.
- Andrea Shaw – The reigning champion and dominant force in women’s bodybuilding, Shaw is chasing yet another title and shows no signs of slowing down.
- Angela Yeo – Known for her elite conditioning and polished presentation, Yeo is considered the most likely challenger to Shaw’s crown.
- Ashley Lynnette Jones – A rising star coming off a top-three finish last year, Jones has made noticeable improvements and could push higher in the rankings.
- Anastasia Korableva – A European standout with exceptional symmetry and muscular detail, Korableva is expected to contend for a top-four finish.
- Selyka Givan – Consistently improving each season, Givan’s growing muscle maturity and balance make her a legitimate top-five threat.
- Leyvina Barros – A promising competitor from Brazil, Barros has the potential to upset more established names if she peaks at the right time.
- Martina Lopez – Known for her conditioning and aesthetics, Lopez could break into the top five with the right package on show day.
- Melissa Teich – A potential dark horse, Teich may surprise many if she brings her best to the Olympia stage this year.
With this stacked lineup, the 2025 Ms. Olympia promises to deliver one of the most competitive and exciting battles in women’s bodybuilding history.
