The full set of events across the entire competition has been shared.
The 2026 Arnold Strongman & Strongwoman Classic is scheduled for March 6-7 in Columbus, OH. This has become one of the top events of the year as the top-tier competitors from around the world typically find time to take the stage. This year, despite some glaring absences, the event will be one of the headliners once again at the Arnold Sports Festival. On Thursday, the full event list was shared for the two-day grind.
2026 Arnold Strongman & Strongwoman Classic Events
There will be three events on each day that will test strength in many ways:
Day One
- Elephant Bar Deadlift
- Cyr/Monster Dumbbell Challenge
- Stone-To-Shoulder
Day Two
- The Stone Drag
- Austrian/American Oak
- Ramp Rage
The first day of the competition from Columbus will kick off with the Elephant Bar Deadlift. This will be an event that will give athletes a chance to establish a one-rep max in three attempts. The Cyr/Monster Dumbbell Challenge is a timed event that will likely ask for competitors to complete the most reps possible in the allotted time. Finally, the Stone-To-Shoulder, a Strongman classic, will ask athletes to lift the stone off the ground and stabilize is on their shoulders before returning it to the floor and repeating. The Odd Haugen stone will weigh 410 pounds for men while women will lift a 258-pound Steve Jeck/Bill Crawford stone.
Day Two will kick off with the Stone Drag. Competitors will begin by loading stones onto a sled by carrying them across a specific distance. From there, they will pull the sled across the track. The Austrian/American Oak will test upper-body strength as competitors will be asked to overhead press these massive logs. The final event of the competition will be the Ramp Rage. This entails carrying three sandbags up a ramp, focusing on strength and speed.
2026 Arnold Strongman Roster Missing Key Names
Both Tom Stoltman and Hathor Bjornsson announced in recent weeks that they will not compete in the Arnold Strongman Classic. Stoltman shared his goal of winning a fourth World’s Strongest Man title this year and believes that the timing would not work out to compete in Columbus. Stoltman is also scheduled to compete at the Britain’s Strongest Man on Feb. 7.
Thor pulled out of the competition as well as he continues to recover from a rotator cuff injury. He shared that he wants to get back to full strength before competing so he has a chance to finish near the top. Bjornsson still plans to attempt to break his own deadlift world record during the 2026 Enhanced Games in May.
The competition will also be without Luke Richardson. He shared that he will be taking a break from competition following the passing of his close friend, Pa O’Dwyer. Richardson has officially pulled out of the Arnold and Britain’s Strongest Man.
