LIE #2. Cardio, cardio, and more cardio
While most fitness shows emphasis long hours on the treadmill as a test in fortitude, they tend to downplay the stress factors and the joint & bone injuries caused from overuse.
For most of us, excessive cardio can lead to a metabolism plateau as well as stealing from our massive gains but for the morbidly overweight it can often times be dangerous. Use weight training to keep your metabolism guessing and fired up as well as protecting your joints and burning fat. Yes cardio is good but keep it to a minimum and split it up (as in one session in the morning and another in the afternoon).
