Calum von Moger Gives Solid and Hilarious Bodybuilding Advice

Calum von Moger offers some solid advice with a dash of humor.

Calum von Moger continues to increase in popular, becoming one of the most recognizable fitness figures in the world today. That’s largely due to the fact that Calum von Moger has appeared in a number of films within the last couple of years including the Generation Iron documentary, Calum von Moger: Unbroken, which has reached new heights of popularity worldwide.

Calum von Moger’s recent appearance in a popular Gucci campaign as well as breaking into the top ten on the Power 30 List really show that he’s becoming a crossover star and force to be reckoned with in the fitness and bodybuilding industry. But at the end of the day it’s Calum’s impressive physique that has gotten him a seat at the table.

So how did Calum von Moger build such an eye-catching physical form in the first place?

In a recent Instagram post the Australian bodybuilder offered up some solid bodybuilding advice as well as his own cheeky brand of humor and self-deprecation that he’s become know for.

What’s my advice for someone just starting out in the gym? -> Practice good form/technique before trying to take on heavy weights. -> Warm up stretch properly before starting, drink plenty of water/bcaas, stay focused don’t get distracted by people or CrossFit. -> Prioritize free weights and compound exercises in your program like squats, deadlifts, bench presses, barbell rows, dumbbell curls and presses. These ones help build a strong foundation for you later. If you wanna be big you need to do these ;). -> Stay away from cliffs and tandem bicep curls. -> Increase your protein intake, especially after a workout. -> And.. enjoy your workouts, have fun, don’t rush. The gains will come it takes time. Just Be patient. It’s a great feeling having muscles. I recommend them to everyone.
