Chris Bumstead plans to take the Olympia stage and put on his best show ever.
After four consecutive Classic Physique Olympia titles, is it possible to still have the best ahead of you? Chris Bumstead will look to bring his best package ever to the stage in just a few days. Leading up to the 2023 Olympia, Bumstead showed off his shredded midsection with a 30-second vacuum hold.
Despite rumors of moves to Men’s Open or even retirement, Bumstead has remained focused on the Olympia.
Bumstead has won four-consecutive Olympia titles in Classic Physique after taking the crown for the first time in 2019. Since then, he has competed once a year during this show. Bumstead’s full prep goes into the biggest show of the year. If he were to do Men’s Open, he would look for a big show shortly after the 2023 Mr. Olympia. This is something he has discussed recently but there are no plans as of now.
Chris Bumstead has become the biggest name in bodybuilding, on and off the stage. His brand is next-level and has allowed him to take on many ventures.

Chris Bumstead could be in a Men’s Open show “as soon as next year,” according to Milos Sarcev. There are no plans in place and he remains focused on a growing Classic Physique division.
The Classic Physique division has improved in talent and is top heavy at the moment. Ramon Rocha Queiroz pushed Bumstead to the limits during the 2022 Olympia and is coming off an Arnold Classic title. Urs Kalecinski has inserted himself into the top three in the division over the last year. Even with all of this happening, Bumstead remains the name to beat and the favorite on the biggest stage.
Breon Ansley is also returning to Classic Physique this year. Previously, he had announced a switch to Men’s 212 for the upcoming competition, which prompted Bumstead to crack a few jokes about Breon running from him. However, the Classic Physique division has recently made adjustments to its weight restrictions, allowing for a little more size. There is now extra weight added on allowing a more even playing field for smaller competitors. This prompted Ansley to remain in Classic Physique, and try to reclaim his title.
We are just days away from Classic Physique hitting the stage for Saturday prejudging with the finals taking place at night.
