Chris Cormier believes Chris Bumstead will make an impact in his Men’s Open appearance.
The bodybuilding world will have all eyes the 2024 EVLS Prague Pro as Chris Bumstead prepares to take the stage in Men’s Open. It will be a loaded group headlining the show but Chris Cormier believes Bumstead can take home the overall prize.
“I think he’s going to win the show. Why wouldn’t he win the show? He’s beating Martin.”
Bumstead announced his retirement from bodybuilding following his victory at the 2024 Olympia. This marked the sixth consecutive Classic Physique title for Bumstead, dating back to 2019. Shortly after the Olympia, Bumstead decided to hit the Men’s Open stage at the Prague Pro. This is something that he has been mulling over for quite some time.
Bumstead’s physique is considered one of the best in bodybuilding regardless of division. He will get the chance to show it off in two weeks against some of the biggest in the world.
“He’s going to have the best frame up there. Maybe not the most muscle but that frame is going to be pretty wide. I just think it’s going to be probably the best physique he’s put on a stage so far.”
Chris Cormier Predicts Chris Bumstead Wins Prague Pro
The biggest question is, how will Chris Bumstead’s best poses play against the biggest in Men’s Open? This includes his lat spread, which Cormier believes will have great shape.
“His patented lat spread, his side triceps, which I’m sure his frame is going to carry a lot of great shape. I think he’s going to try to out-shape people. I would love to see that lat spread in the Open class.”

Bumstead will bring great shape and conditioning to the stage. He has built one of the best physiques in the world over the years and it will be interesting to see how he stacks up. Bumstead will battle the likes of Martin Fitzwater and Shaun Clarida on stage. Fitzwater is coming off a fourth-place finish at the Olympia while Clarida will make his return to Open.
If Bumstead wins the Prague Pro, what could be next? According to Terrick El Guindy, he could decide to compete at the 2025 Olympia.
“He said ‘Terrick, I’m not going there to play. I’m going there to win and then I’m going to the Olympia and crush Samson Dauda.’ That’s exactly what he just told me on the phone.”
