During the 2016 World Deadlift Championships, Hall became the first person to deadlift 500kg (1,102.3lb). The very next year, he was crowned champion of the World’s Strongest Man (WSM) event and solidified his spot as one of the best in Strongman. Hall was training for an MMA fight at the beginning of the year but the event was cancelled.

The MMA fight was scheduled to feature Hall and reigning World’s Strongest Man Mitchell Hooper. The other battle was between Strongman legend Brian Shaw and Martyn Ford. Hall shared that he is still working to get a fight going and has reached out to these three first. Fans are hoping that a new plan can be put into place that allows these monsters to get in the ring.

Until there is a new date scheduled, Eddie Hall will continue to take on new challenges and better himself within his routine.
