Eddie Hall asked for respect from those who read the news during this difficult time.

Legendary strongman Eddie Hall, has provided fans with updates in and out of the gym over the course of his career. On Sunday, Hall posted on Instagram to share the tragic news that he and his wife, Alexandra, have lost their unborn baby girl. Hall asks for respect during this time and that they are dealing with the loss internally.

In October, Hall announced that his wife was pregnant with their third child using a picture of the family-of-four. Hall and his wife were joined by their 11-year-old son, Max, and five-month-old daughter.

Hall took to social media to share the news and ask for privacy for himself and his family:

“Unfortunately we have lost our unborn baby girl. Personally we don’t want to talk right now, share too much, and don’t want to pick it apart. There is no right way to deal with these things, only the way you choose to. Our hearts are exhausted and talking isn’t going to change anything or bring her back.”

Eddie Hall quickly became known in the Strongman industry by winning the 2017 World’s Strongest Man competition. He became the first man to deadlift 500kg, setting a new world record. Since his days of Strongman ended, he has taken on other ventures, such as boxing and could be transitioning into bodybuilding as well.

This would not be the first significant physique transformation for Hall. He made a significant transformation to take on fellow strongman Hafthor Bjornsson in the boxing ring.

Hall has also introduced his son to weightlifting. Max Hall has continued to train at just 11 years old and recently hit his PR deadlift of 100kg (220.5lb). He told his father that his new goal is to double it and reach 200kg by his 12th birthday next year.

Eddie Hall had one final request from anyone who received the news over the weekend.

“We hope that enough people see this to prevent us having to have this painful conversation in person. Right now we are taking some time alone to recover. Thank you for understanding”
