Hunter Labrada continues to add size to his arms during the offseason.

Hunter Labrada continues to work hard in the offseason hoping to make further improvements to his physique. During a recent workout, Labrada shared tips to building huge arms.

Labrada has been one of the top bodybuilders in Men’s Open and solidified this notion back in 2021. He finished fourth during the Olympia but has fallen a bit since then.

In 2022, Labrada fell to seventh on the scorecard. He was victorious during the 2023 Tampa Pro before finishing as the runner-up at the Texas Pro. Labrada hit the Olympia stage once again and finished sixth in 2023. Labrada showed off his physique once again during the NPC Western Michigan Bodybuilding Championships. He looked well-conditioned on stage. This was one of the major improvements he made during the year to prepare for the 2023 Olympia.

Now, Labrada’s work continues as he looks to add more size while remaining as conditioned as possible.

Hunter Labrada Arm Workout

Hunter Labrada put together a workout consisting of four different exercises to hit both biceps and triceps:

Preacher Curl

Preacher curls provide the proper support for the arm so that the bicep can be hit effectively. Hunter Labrada explained that he either uses a machine for this move or dumbbells.

“That’s why we’re doing a preacher curl because we want it braced so we have our upper arm braced into that pad throughout the whole motion…The worse thing you can do is sit here and have the point of fulcrum be your elbows.”

Cable-Cuff Tricep Extension

Labrada alternated between biceps and triceps during this workout. This is a move where Labrada likes to train one arm at a time.

“Yes, I realize you’re tying up the whole cable stack to do these two arms at a time. If you train in a busy public gym in the afternoon, do it with one arm.”

Step-forward Cable Bicep Curls

Hunter Labrada moved onto cable bicep curls next.

“We don’t want to do the curl by doing this going forward. There should be very little upper arm motion.”

Overhead Tricep Extension

The final exercise was an overhead tricep extension. This was one final exercise where Labrada focused on form to get the best results.

“We’re pivoting, angling at the hips, and then I’m thinking about really letting it pull our upper back thoracic spine into extension and pull our upper arms as far as we can get them up and keeping that body posture, getting into an extension and every rep, really letting it stretch and pull.”
