Massive Potential! Hunter Labrada, George Peterson, and the Big Winners at the Tampa Pro

If there’s one thing that we learned from this past weekend’s Tampa Pro it’s this: the future looks bright.

The biggest IFBB pro show since the lockdown, the 2020 Tampa Pro showcased some of the best and brightest in bodybuilding. It marked the debut of Hunter Labrada who won big in the Men’s Bodybuilding division. It also marked the debut of George Peterson III in the 212 division. Both bodybuilders showcased a ton of potential with their victories and has sparked the question: how far can they go?

The son of the great Lee Labrada, Hunter unveiled a physique that has no doubt put the division on notice. While he has certainly shown potential in the past, few could have guessed that Hunter would look this impressive in his debut show. The younger Labrada took to the stage with the kind of physique you would expect from a season veteran.

George Peterson III also looked impressive in his 212 debut. His switch from Classic Physique to 212 was unexpected, but he made good on his bold decision with a clean victory. Could he be in the running for becoming Olympia champion? We’ll have to wait and see.

Jennifer Dorie also took home her first pro win in the Bikini division.

She has showcased an incredible physique that could see her challenge the top of the division.

Generation Iron 3 veteran Ariel Khadr also picked up a massive win showing that she could have what it takes to challenge the returning all-time Fitness Olympia queen Oksana Grishina.

With their victories these young upstarts are proving that they have some amazing potential. For many of them the 2020 Olympia will be their first show and the opportunity to prove to themselves and the world that they are deserving of top honors.

Hunter Labrada in particular is one to watch as he has the potential to upset the balance in his division. While he may not topple greats like Phil Heath, Brandon Curry, or Shawn Rhoden at this stage, Hunter has shown that he certainly possesses the raw potential to become a future champion.

What did you think of the showings at the 2020 Tampa Pro?
