Illia Golem, known as the World’s Most “Monstrous” Bodybuilder, has passed away at 36 years old. Golem, who’s real name is Illia Yefinshyk, became known for his insane size and strength during his bodybuilding career. The news of his death was confirmed on Instagram. A cause of death has not been shared at this time.

Golem gained a passion for fitness at a young age. He moved from Belarus to the Czech Republic to study and this is where he learned about proper nutrition and training practices. He grew up an incredible athlete with the hopes of one day being built like Arnold Schwarzenegger or Sylvester Stallone.
Illia Golem Has Passed Away At 36
Illia Golem was a popular figure in bodybuilding due to his insane size. He boasted a 61-inch chest and 25-inch arms. Along with training as a bodybuilder, Golem lifts heavy in the gym and has incredible numbers. He has taken down a 600-pound bench press, 700-pound deadlift, and 700-pound squat.

The bodybuilding world has dealt with an unfortunate string of deaths recently. Last week, Brazilian bodybuilder Matheus Pavlak was found dead at his home in Brazil. Pavlak overcame childhood obesity and transformed his physique in an incredible way to be able to compete on the bodybuilding stage. Pavlak began training in 2019 and working with Lucas Chegatti three years later. He turned into a champion bodybuilder in his home country.
Many former bodybuilders have spoken out about the dangers of the sport, including different substances used. Eight-time Olympia champion Lee Haney has been vocal about his thoughts and opinions on the sport of bodybuilding today.
