Faramarz Azizi is a former bodybuilding champion in the Iranian community.
The Iranian bodybuilding was shocked recently by the news of the death of former champion Faramarz Azizi. According the multiple reports, Azizi passed away tragically on Nov. 14 at 30 years old.
Azizi’s cause of death has not officially been shared but The Kashmir Radar reported that it was from cardiac arrest. RXMuscle also reported the passing of Azizi over the weekend.

During his career, Faramarz Azizi was a successful Iranian bodybuilder and Asian champion from Shahriar. According to a report, Azizi was removed from the national team roster despite winning a gold medal during qualifiers. This caused great controversy within the community. Azizi’s brother, Farhad, is a fellow bodybuilder and recently underwent a heart procedure. Many were surprised by the news that Azizi was allegedly removed from the team due to his recent success.
Azizi’s Instagram page shares that he was an NPC Armenian champion this year. Also, he was a Champion of Asia in 2018 while finishing third in 2013. Azizi also won gold four times as Iran’s Hero while finished in the top three eight times.
Faramarz Azizi Has Passed Away
The tragic passing of Faramarz Azizi follows an unfortunate string of deaths in bodybuilding. Azizi was a well-known and popular bodybuilder within his community and left an impact on the sport of bodybuilding in his area. That can be said about many competitors who passed away this year.
This includes Fabiano Andrade, who passed away just weeks after competing in the Musclecontest Brasil Pro. Fabiano Andrade turned into a competitive bodybuilder at a young age. He was able to build a physique that was able to stand up on stage with the best in the world. This includes NPC appearances in 2019 along with a fourth-place finish at the Arnold Amateur South America.
Andrade would earn his Pro Card and go onto compete in the Musclecontest Brazil Pro in 2021-2022. Just two years later, Andrade was turning in the best performances of his career. This includes Top 10 finishes during the Musclecontest Sao Paulo Pro and Arnold Brazil Pro. Andrade most recently compete in Brazil and at the Musclecontest Rio Pro, where he finished ninth.
In October, former bodybuilding champion and fitness influencer Ricardo Nolasco dos Santos died in Novo Hamburg in southern Brazil. Santos, who is best known as Kadu Santos, won numerous bodybuilding titles during his career while becoming a well-known influencer on social media. He had just proposed to his girlfriend, Sabrina Wollman, on stage following an event in July.
Just weeks prior, it was reported that IFBB Women’s Physique Pro Jessica Rivera passed away. Rivera put together an impressive bodybuilding career that earned her a Pro Card nearly a decade ago. She became known in Women’s Physique for her impressive conditioning and muscle tone. Rivera was able to become a strong competitor in the division over the course of her career.
