A new bodybuilding destination is coming to West Orange, New Jersey thanks to Iron Culture.
A new bodybuilding experience has come to West Orange, NJ thanks to the Iron Culture fitness center. Iron Culture, a high-end, nationally recognized fitness brand, has opened its third location in New Jersey.
Already present in Cedar Knolls and North Bergen, NJ, Iron Culture has built a brand that goes beyond a gym. It gives fitness enthusiasts and athletes a chance to reach aesthetic excellence and build the best version of themselves each day. Generation Iron Podcast host and IFBB Pro bodybuilder, Victor Martinez has trained and the North Bergen location and has provided our team here at Generation Iron with more information on equipment, layout and his training experience at the gym.
The West Orange location is now next in line. Iron Culture transformed a 1950s bowling alley built on 2.6 acres of land into a 26,000-square-foot gym. With nearly 16-foot high ceilings and expansive and re-leveled floor space, Iron Culture is focused on creating an environment that can optimize training and visualizing progress.

“Iron Culture was built on transforming lives, and now we’re transforming landmarks. Turning a bowling alley that served this community for generations into a 26,000-square-foot hub of strength and wellness is more than expansion – it’s about honoring the past while building the future of fitness right here in West Orange. We’re proud to carry that legacy forward while setting a new standard for what a gym can be.” – Arthur Imperatore, Owner and Founder, Iron Culture Gym

What to Expect at Iron Culture – West Orange?
The Iron Culture gym has become known for pushing the limits of design, training, and bodybuilding all within a great space often missing in the Tri-state area. Iron Culture confirmed that their goal continues to be the same for the new $10 million location.
The new location is equipped with custom barbells and high-end gym equipment from Panatta, Prime, Arsenal Strength, and many other big-name brands. There are multiple training areas that have been carefully zoned and other layout choices that allow athletes to lift weights and hit some bodybuilding poses.
The design of this new location was led by U.K. architectural firm zynk Design. The vision was to reflect a thoughtful design ethos in all areas, including the cardio deck, weight zones, and posing areas.
Iron Culture looks to dedicate all resources to give members a chance to enjoy a state-of-the-art bodybuilding experience.

Who is Iron Culture?
The first Iron Culture location opened in Cedar Knolls, NJ in 2019. Arthur Imperatore Jr., owner and CEO of the gym and NPC bodybuilder, opened the location and looks to have attracted a large amount of visitors early on. Iron Culture reps confirms membership quickly grew to 500 members in just six months and has only expanded from there.
Other notable visitors to the gym in the first year includes 2018 Mr. Olympia Shawn Rhoden, two-time 212 Olympia champion Shaun Clarida, two-time New York Pro champion Guy Cisternino.
The overall goal for Iron Culture – West Orange looks to remain the same. It aims to set a new standard in bodybuilding and fitness design to give gym goers a one-of-a-kind experience.
