Jay Cutler’s Best Back Exercises
Cutler selected his three top exercises and broke down each one:
- Reverse Grip Pulldown
- Dumbbell Rows
- Reverse Row Machine
The first exercise is the reverse grip pulldown. Cutler shares how he always started with this workout because of its connection to the front double bicep pose.
“The famous Jay Cutler always starting exercise is the reverse grip pulldowns. I always did these to mimic the front double bicep with this.”
Cutler moved onto dumbbell rows and reverse row machine, which is an exercise that is similar to the Yates Row. In retirement, Cutler has kept his meals simple.
“Most of the meals I eat are chicken and rice or steak and rice or something that is more consistent. Ground hamburger, ground turkey meat. I just try to keep it as consistent as possible and that’s really what keeps me flowing.”
Cutler has spoken at length about his favorite muscle-building substance. He chose creatine as his best muscle-building substance and backed it up with the well-researched nature of it. There are certain negative connotations that come with creatine and Cutler touched on those as well.
“Of course, you hear about ‘does it dehydrate you? Does it make you retain water?’ You should stay active with your drinking anyway. With creatine, as long as your diets in check, it’s a great product.”
Jay Cutler has remained shredded in retirement after what was one of the best bodybuilding careers of all-time. He has kept up with all body parts and shares his thoughts with others as they look to build the best versions of themselves.
