Bodybuilding legend Jay Cutler has proven that he will not let anything get in the way of a workout. Recently, Cutler crushed a light back day but revealed that he tore his bicep.

“I’m doing back today. The problem is the bicep that I roe. Crazy, I was just doing curls the other day. I actually strained my biceps doing literally 40-pound curls the other day.”
Cutler was part of one of the greatest bodybuilding rivalries in history with arguably the best bodybuilder of all time, Ronnie Coleman. He ended Coleman’s streak of eight consecutive Olympia victories in 2006. He would win back-to-back titles before losing to Dexter Jackson in 2008. Cutler would rebound with two more victories in 2009-10.
In retirement, Cutler has maintained an insane physique due to his overall work ethic. He has also created an extremely successful social media platform where he can share different workouts and fitness tips with the next generation.
Jay Cutler’s Back Workout
Cutler shared his full fasted back day that consisted of seven different exercises:
- Chest Supported Single Arm Row
- Incline Row
- Yates Row
- Reverse Pulldown
- Pullover Machine
- Wide Grip Pulldown
- Rows/Reverse Grip Rows
- 20 minutes cardio
“A little lighter today going through the motions. This goes to show for all you guys out there that face a little injury sometimes, you can just go through the motions.”
Beyond his athletic achievements, Cutler has also made a name for himself in the business world as the founder of Cutler Nutrition. His contributions to the sport were honored with the 2024 Arnold Classic Lifetime Achievement Award, and he was inducted into the Bodybuilding Hall of Fame, cementing his legacy.
Jay Cutler plans to work on recovery but discussed how it is important to hit the gym as well. He will get tissue work done to keep everything “pliable.”
“It pulls a little bit here so I have some tissue work tomorrow with that. I’ll get that worked out so anyone that always has to deal with those injuries, just make sure you get that work done and keep everything pliable.”
