Jay Cutler Talks Incredible Hamstring Exercise
This hamstring movement is not a common one that might jump out at you when you are in the gym. Cutler shared that he does not see it much but believes there is a major benefit to the movement.
“It takes a little bit of effort and technique. Because the hamstrings consists of a lot of cords, that balance that it takes to hold it and do that curl.”
Like any other movement, it is important to keep tension on the muscle you are hitting. Jay Cutler uses a flat bench for this but it can be performed on an incline or decline bench as well.
“I use a flat bench but you can do it on incline bench or decline bench, it really depends on how you want to feel the movement. You want to keep that constant tension on the hamstring. That is what’s ideal when doing a hamstring movement.”
Hamstrings are one of the most stubborn muscles groups. If you have genetically weak hamstrings or are lagging in the department, you need to show them some extra love. Muscular hamstrings can significantly add to the size of your legs. This is something that Jay Cutler knew over the course of his career and was able to build these massive legs. Now, he is sharing some of the ways that he created these hamstrings.
