Jeremy Buendia is in the phase of putting on size during his prep.
Men’s Physique bodybuilder Jeremy Buendia is just over 20 weeks out of the 2025 Olympia, which will be his final competition. He is currently in the bulking phase of his prep and shared a full day of eating.
Buendia is one of the most successful Men’s Physique bodybuilders of all time. He dominated his Mr. Olympia category from 2014 to 2017. He took a hiatus from competition following his appearance at the 2018 Olympia but made his return to the stage last year. Buendia finished eighth in Men’s Physique during the 2023 Olympia.
Buendia was preparing to compete at the Arnold Classic in March but pulled out of the competition a few months before. Now, he is going all in for the biggest show of the year.
Jeremy Buendia’s Bulking Diet
Buendia put together this plan consisting of six meals in order to add more and more size.
Meal 1
Jeremy Buendia began his day with what he said is the easiest meal to get down. The morning of the video, Buendia weighed in at 201 pounds. This was 13 pounds heavier than he was when he returned from Mexico. He explained how his gear has not kicked in yet given that it has only been a week.
- 2 Whole Eggs
- 230g Egg Whites
- 70g Oatmeal
- 100g Strawberries
- 1 slice Sourdough Bread
“We’re going to keep the freedom in the diet as long as my body composition keeps improving. I’m setting myself up to look my all-time best. That’s the goal.”
Meal 2
Buendia moved onto his second meal, which he ate before hitting the gym to train back. It is a homemade meal consisting of chicken tacos. Before the gym, Buendia has an energy drink followed by Nitraflex Kaos — one scoop of high stim and one scoop of non-stim.
- Verde Chicken
- Corn Tortillas
- Olive Oil
“I’m using corn tortillas. Peope say they’re a little higher in glycemin index and it’ll prevent you from burning fat but we’re trying to get huge right now. I’ll probably cut out tortillas all together as we get around eight weeks out.”
Meal 3
After his workout, Jeremy Buendia puts together a protein shake featuring whey protein and fruit.
- 2 scoops Nitraflex Whey
- 280g Strawberries
- 500ml Lemonade
- 55g Oats
“I’m never happy during prep. I’ll get better every week. I’m not worried about it. I just need to stay consistent with my food.”
Meal 4
Buendia opts for convenience for his fourth meal. He keeps FlexPro meals in the fridge and pulled one out here. He needed more protein than what was in the meal so he made one addition.
- FlexPro Meatball Pot Roast
- 260g Egg Whites
“I’m gonna need some more protein so I’m going to add some egg whites.”
Meal 5
Buendia puts together his second shake of the day which looks similar to the first. This time, he opts for sugar-free lemonade.
- 2 scoops Nitraflex Whey
- 250g Strawberries
- 77g Oats
- 500ml Sugar-Free Lemonade
“Being this far out, just starting my diet, trying to boost my appetite up, usually two shakes a day makes it easier for me to hit my macros and get all that protein intake in.”
Meal 6
Jeremy Buendia ends his day with his biggest meal, which has become normal. He has put together different meals of burgers and clean fries in the air fryer along with lean meatloaf.
- Lean Beef Spaghetti
- Garlic Bread
- Caesar Salad
“Usually nighttime, I like to get a bigger meal in trying to get as many calories as possible. I have a little more freedom at night time.”
