Jeremy Buendia was planning to make his return in 2025 during the Arnold Classic but that has been put on hold. During a recent video, Buendia shared that he has pulled out of the Arnold and will focus on making improvements needed to win on stage.

Buendia is one of the most successful Men’s Physique bodybuilders of all time. He dominated his Mr. Olympia category from 2014 to 2017. He took a hiatus from competition following his appearance at the 2018 Olympia but made his return to the stage last year. Buendia finished eighth in Men’s Physique during the 2023 Olympia.
Buendia has never competed at the Arnold Classic in his career. This was going to be his inaugural show in Columbus but will postpone once again. Buendia knows what it takes to win on stage and will work to achieve that level of physique once again.
“Until I’m able to eliminate those excuses, I’m not going to be in a position to win. I’m being realistic with you guys, I’m being realistic with myself.”
Jeremy Buendia Working To Make Improvements
Buendia put together an incredible career on stage and is not done yet. Despite not appearing at the Arnold, he is preparing to move forward with competing. This means targeting areas to improve and hitting it hard.
“I got to bring my chest back up. Since I tore my pec, it hasn’t been the same, been having a hard time getting that connection in that mid and upper pec.”

Along with is chest, Buendia has struggled to train abs because of herniated discs in his lower back. This has impacted his ability to strengthen his core.
“Training abs is really hard for me because of how bad my lower back is. The herniated discs make it really difficult to do certain exercises and my core is extremely weak right now.”
Jeremy Buendia is committed to improving both his mental and physical state right now in order to hit the stage once again. Fans have been waiting for his return and will look forward to the journey in 2025.
