Joe Rogan believes that Mike Tyson is in “savage mode” ahead of his battle with Jake Paul.

The boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul has gained plenty of attention since it was announced in March. The two will face off on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas and will be aired exclusively on Netflix. Recently, Joe Rogan had plenty to say about the upcoming fight.

Paul began his boxing career with a knockout of former NBA player Nate Robinson. Over the years, he has taken part in many big-money events against UFC stars Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva, and Tyron Woodley. Paul continued to receive criticism because he was not facing professional boxers. He is coming off first-round knocks out Andre August and Ryan Bourland.

Rogan was a believer in Paul from the beginning and believes that others are becoming fans as well.

“People were mocking me when I was saying that before but now, I think people are coming around. The way I look at it, I say if this kid was not a YouTuber, if he wasn’t some guy that you knew from the time he was 16 years old on YouTube ad you just saw him box, you saw him knock out former UFC champions, you saw him beat legitimate boxers, you’d go this kid can f*cking fight.”

The chance for each of these men has benefits but for Paul, it gives him an opportunity to go up against one of the best of all-time.

Joe Rogan Talks Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson will be 57 years old when he steps in the ring with Jake Paul. This means that he will not be the same fighter that he used to be but is still a legitimate heavyweight fighter. Rogan believes Paul deserves credit for giving it a shot.

“That Mike Tyson, those fights were, you wanted to see executions.

Just the fact that he’s willing to take a chance at Mike Tyson not being able to do what he used to do because that’s what he’s doing. The gamble is, there’s not a f*cking chance in hell that Jake Paul would survive against the Mike Tyson that beat Marvis Frazier.”

The career of Mike Tyson speaks for itself. The former World Heavyweight champion is one of the most-feared boxers to ever step in the ring. In retirement, Tyson has remained in great shape and many are excited for his return to the ring. Tyson last boxed in an exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr. in November 2020. His last professional fight came in 2005, a loss to Kevin McBride. Tyson’s last victory came in 2003.

He has maintained his mentality despite not fighting in years and Joe rogan solidified this after a recent conversation.

“He goes ‘I just eat raw meat. I’m eating raw meat…Because that’s what I’m going to eat when I fight. I’m going to eat him, just raw meat.’ He’s in that f*cking mode. He’s in that God of War mode.

He’s in savage mode. If I was Jake Paul, I’d be sh*tting my pants.”

At the end of the day, this is a great opportunity for both fighters to compete in front of a major audience.

“Im going to watch the fight. We are all going to watch the fight. I’m going to watch it. It’s a brilliant move by Jake because if he was going to fight anybody else, people would watch but the same amount of people? No. This is the one.”
