Kai Greene Goes From Olympia To Dubai To Bulgaria

Just days after the 2025 Mr. Olympia, Kai Greene was already back on a plane. He spent the last three weeks traveling for a series of events and appearances — starting in Dubai and finishing in Bulgaria — before finally landing back in the United States.

He was so fresh off the plane that he recorded this week’s podcast episode from his car on the way home. “I just got back to the U.S.,” he says, laughing. “We’re making this one happen in transit.”

Kai’s first stop was Dubai, where he was a featured guest at the Dubai Muscle Show — one of the largest fitness expos in the world. He describes the experience as humbling and inspiring, saying it gave him a chance to personally thank his fans in the Middle East.

After his time in Dubai, Kai flew to Bulgaria — a country he admitted he’d never been to before. In classic Kai fashion, he joked that he “didn’t even know Bulgaria existed until maybe ten years ago,” saying he probably only heard about it on NPR.

Despite the humor, Kai called the experience “fantastic.” He said everyone he met in Bulgaria was “wonderfully wonderful and warm.” The trip was part of a sponsorship engagement, but it clearly left an impression on him.

Kai Greene Analyzes Nick Walker’s Split With Coach Kyle Wilkes

The conversation then shifted to the headline-making story of Nick Walker parting ways with his coach immediately after the 2025 Mr. Olympia.

While the fitness world has been buzzing with speculation, Kai took a more reflective approach — calling the situation “all entertainment.”

“People love to talk about loyalty or no loyalty,” Kai said. “But relationships are complicated. They change. They grow. It’s never just black and white.”

Kai compared the athlete-coach bond to a sibling relationship — something that evolves over years, filled with highs and lows. He stressed that the true heart of any partnership is shared vision, not blind loyalty.

This week’s episode of the podcast is brought to you by G FUEL. Introducing their new 2.0 formula – with cleaner ingredients and the same amazing flavors you know and love – without the chalky aftertaste and no more powder settling at the bottom of your shaker.

“It’s About Vision, Not Loyalty”

Kai explained why he personally stayed with his coach, George Farah, even after major competition losses like the Mr. Olympia:

“I felt connected to the vision,” he said. “That’s what kept me there.”

But he also made it clear that he can’t speak for Nick Walker’s private situation:

“We don’t know what goes on behind closed doors. Sometimes, you just have to grow up and move out of your mom’s house. Maybe Nick needed to do that — find his own path, his own vision.”

The Reality Behind the Scenes

Kai also revealed a candid truth:

“Everybody is lying. No one is following 100% of their coach’s plans.”

He explained that even the best coach-athlete relationships involve trial and error, adjustments, and emotional tension. Over time, a bond either strengthens or breaks apart — and both outcomes can be healthy.

Kai hopes that both Nick Walker and Kyle Wilkes (his coach) continue to succeed separately.

“It’s only a headline for now,” he said. “Nick is sorting out important things. The relationship part is what matters most.”

How Kai Used To Bulk: Gallons of Ice Cream & Two Pizza Boxes In One Meal

Kai reflected on his early career when he used to bulk with ice cream and pizza. Cutting them out during prep was difficult, but over time he learned to master his diet so completely that he doesn’t even crave those foods anymore.

“I don’t count calories now,” Kai said. “The bodybuilding diet is just normal eating for me.”

When asked to pick one calorie-free food, Kai smiled and said it doesn’t matter — because if he wants to reach his best self, he’ll just do it, regardless of the food or restriction.

Wrap Up

The Kai Greene Effect continues to deliver what fans want most — unfiltered insight from one of bodybuilding’s most iconic minds. From international travel stories to personal growth and hot-button industry topics, Kai’s perspective blends experience, wisdom, and humility.

This episode reminds us that Kai Greene’s effect isn’t just about the physique. It’s about mindset, discipline, and evolution — the kind that takes a champion from the stage to the world stage.
