Pearson will make the jump to the biggest division in October.
Men’s 212 bodybuilder Keone Pearson has shut down rumors of a transition to Men’s Open for months now. He has said that he will wait for the right time to make his debut and that time has come.
Pearson announced that he will make his debut in Open Bodybuilding during the EVLS Prague Pro on Oct. 26.
“The wait is finally over. October 26, see you in Prague. Make sure to get your tickets because you do not want to miss this.”
Pearson has emerged as a star in bodybuilding in a short amount of time. His pro career, beginning in 2016, started in Classic Physique before making the move to 212. He spent a few years in the division before going head-to-head and defeating Shaun Clarida. Pearson is now the new face of the 212 division after winning back-to-back Olympia titles.

Keone Pearson Announces Men’s Open Debut

Keone Pearson has spoken highly of the Men’s 212 division and is preparing to hit the Olympia stage in 2025 to complete a three-peat in 212. It is unknown if Pearson will compete in Men’s Open during the Olympia if he is qualified but that is yet to be seen. There are many who believe Pearson could compete for the Olympia title right away if he made the jump, including 8x Mr. Olympia champion Ronnie Coleman.
“He’ll win it. He will win it for sure. That’s how confident I am in him and I’m pretty sure he’s that confident in himself.”
Pearson could follow the path of Derek Lunsford, who won his first 212 Olympia title in 2021 before making the big jump to Men’s Open. Two years later, Lunsford became the first bodybuilder to win an Olympia title in two divisions, being crowned the 2023 Mr. Olympia. If Pearson is next in line, it will not be soon as he claims to have work to do before making the jump.
Pearson will bring more attention to the Prague Pro this year. In 2024, Classic Physique champion Chris Bumstead made his Men’s Open debut in Prague and finished as the runner-up in the biggest division. Pearson will now get the chance to show what he can do amongst the big boys in Men’s Open.
