Keone Pearson could eventually make the move to Open but when?
Men’s 212 bodybuilder Keone Pearson is currently at the top of the division and this has led to many conversations about his potential move to Men’s Open. While this might not be the plan in the short term, Pearson knows that this is a possibility for the future — and even the goal.
In a recent Instagram post following the Pittsburgh Pro, Pearson claimed that he is a future Mr. Olympia champion.

Pearson has emerged as a star in bodybuilding in a short amount of time. His pro career, beginning in 2016, started in Classic Physique before making the move to 212. He spent a few years in the division before going head-to-head and defeating Shaun Clarida. Pearson is now the new face of the 212 division after winning back-to-back Olympia titles.

Keone Pearson Drawing Attention From Bodybuilding Legends
Pearson has taken over the Men’s 212 division in recent years. This has led to attention from the fitness world, including legends of the sport. Ronnie Coleman became one to speak out about Pearson’s potential in Men’s Open.
“He’ll win it. He will win it for sure. That’s how confident I am in him and I’m pretty sure he’s that confident in himself.”

Lee Priest is another that predicts Keone Pearson having great success in the largest division. When asked about it, Priest claims that Pearson could finish near the top right away.
“He could easy, maybe this year top 6/8 but in a could years he can win it.”
Keone Pearson competed in the Classic physique division for a couple of years among some bodybuilding greats. He later pivoted to the Men’s 212 division, becoming a two-time Olympian winner in 2023 and 2024. He took the title from former winner Shaun Clarida, “The Giant Killer.” In the 2024 Mr. Olympia, Pearson came in with one of his best packages yet and dominated the scene.
In such a short time, Keone Pearson has been a force to be reckoned with in bodybuilding. He didn’t limit his immense talent to showcasing his impressive physique on stage, he also became a certified personal trainer. His goal is to inspire others, both young and old.
