Ramon Dino wants to continue his legacy in Classic before considering a move.
Classic Physique Olympia champion Ramon Rocha Queiroz, known as Ramon Dino, has reached the top of the division. After years of hard work, Queiroz won his first Olympia title last weekend and his plan is for many more to come.
During a recent conversation, Dino shared his plans to hold the Classic Physique title for years to come. While he has thought about a move to Open Bodybuilding, he believes there is work to do first.

Queiroz has been extremely successful since he began competing. In 2022, Ramon appeared first at the Arnold Classic, taking second place right behind Terrence Ruffin. Then, came the 2022 Mr. Olympia, where he took 2nd place to the champion Chris Bumstead himself. This was the same result in 2023 but he fell to fourth on the scorecard in October.
Once he fell during last year’s Olympia, there were questions about his ultimate future in bodybuilding. With Bumstead retiring from competition last year, this left the door open for many competitors and Queiroz was at the top of the list with Mike Sommerfeld, who finished as the runner-up during last year’s Olympia.

Ramon Dino Breaks Down Plans in Classic Physique

The idea of moving to Men’s Open is one that Ramon Dino has discussed in the past. While the idea of eliminating the weight cap interests him, he wants to finish what he started in Classic first.
“Firstly, maintain the title for at least about five years there. And like I always said, at the end of my career there, I want to move up to Open and finish in Open, but we still have a lot to do.”
During the years of 2019 and 2020, Ramon was not competing. The reason for his absence is unknown, but he made a remarkable return to the stage in 2021, looking sharper than he ever had.
Ramon came in 2nd place at the 2021 Europa Pro, then went on to earn himself a 5th place spot on the Olympia stage that same year. He finished the 2021 year out at the Muscle Contest Brazil, taking first place. Dino has since become a star around the world and one of the top names in bodybuilding.
“In Classic, we already got the title. So, we know we have a lot more there to receive in Classic Physique and then in Open, it’s not just for anyone, but at least I’ll go out big.”
Urs Kalecinski is the latest competitor to make the move from Classic to Men’s Open. Kalecinski made the move to Men’s Open so he could bring his best physique possible to the stage with no restrictions. Right away, he impressed with a victory in Italy before being crowned champion once again during the Europa Pro Championships. He took part in the Olympia last weekend, finishing 13th.
Ramon Dino has shared his plans in the past to move to Men’s Open but it is not imminent. He wants to build a legacy in Classic and become the next great name to come out of the division.
