Ramon Dino Confirms 2027 Arnold Classic After Dropping to Third at Olympia
Just days after losing his Olympia crown, Ramon Dino confirmed that he plans to compete at the 2027 Arnold Classic in Columbus, Ohio. The Brazilian star announced his decision following a third-place finish at the 2026 Classic Physique Olympia, where Niall Darwen pulled off a major upset to capture his first title.
Mike Sommerfeld finished second, while Dino dropped to third after entering Olympia Weekend as the defending champion.
Now, Dino already has his sights set on another major championship.
Ramon Dino Confirms 2027 Arnold Classic Return
Dino revealed his plans in a new video posted to his YouTube channel, confirming that he intends to return to the Arnold Classic stage in 2027.
The decision marks a change in strategy after Dino opted not to compete at the 2026 Arnold Classic. Instead, he appeared in Columbus as a guest poser while focusing his competitive season on defending his Olympia title.

That plan ultimately did not produce the result Dino wanted in Las Vegas.
Darwen shocked the Classic Physique field by defeating both Sommerfeld and Dino to become the new Olympia champion. Dino’s third-place finish ended his reign after he had finally reached the top of the division.

Rather than waiting until next year’s Olympia for another opportunity at a major title, Dino will now return to competition much sooner.
Dino Looks To Win Second Arnold Classic Title
The Arnold Classic has already played an important role in Dino’s career.
Dino won the 2023 Arnold Classic, defeating two-time champion Terrence Ruffin to claim his first title in Columbus. He returned in 2024 but finished runner-up to Wesley Vissers.
Dino later reached the pinnacle of Classic Physique by winning the Olympia title, establishing himself as one of the division’s biggest stars following Chris Bumstead’s retirement.
His decision to compete at the 2027 Arnold now gives him an opportunity to quickly rebound from one of the most disappointing results of his career.
The announcement also adds another major name to what is already shaping up to be an intriguing 2027 Arnold Sports Festival. On the Men’s Open side, newly crowned Mr. Olympia Nick Walker has confirmed his intention to compete, while defending Arnold Classic champion Andrew Jacked is also committed to returning to Columbus.
For Dino, the mission will be different. After leaving Las Vegas without the Olympia title, he will attempt to reclaim a championship he has already held once before and begin his road back toward the top of Classic Physique.
