The best tasting whey isolate?

When it comes to choosing a protein powder, you will see that a lot of times they are either filled with lackluster ingredients, overpriced, or have that chalky texture and funky aftertaste. With whey protein isolates in particular, you are typically faced with high prices and foamy textures. However, with REDCON1’s ISOTOPE, you do not face any of those issues.

What is Whey Protein Isolate?

Protein is protein, right? No, there are actually different types of protein, and whey isolate is one of them; and when you see the term whey isolate, you may not know exactly what it is and how it differs from other protein powder options.

There are two types of whey protein which are concentrate and isolate. Whey protein isolate is just whey protein concentrate, but it has been further processed to take out most of the lactose and fat, and in turn it is made up of about 90% protein. With a whey protein isolate, you are also left with a good amount of amino acids in there as well. This is a good option for people that have trouble digesting lactose products, as it will have less of an impact on their stomachs.

When it comes to purchasing a whey protein isolate, a lot of times you will be seeing higher prices than with a concentrate. This is because the isolate is a superior form of protein, due to the further processing of it. This leads to a lot of companies pricing their whey protein isolates way over the top.

One more issue you may sometimes face with whey protein isolates is the foamy texture. Even after mixing it, you may feel like you are drinking straight foam, and that is less than ideal.

However, with REDCON1 ISOTOPE, these issues go right out the window!

REDCON1 ISOTOPE Overview

REDCON1 ISOTOPE

REDCON1 ISOTOPE

REDCON1 ISOTOPE

Whey protein isolate undergoes additional processing to remove the remaining fat and carbohydrate content from the whey to result in a very high percentage of proteins and many essential amino acids.

Now that we have established exactly what whey protein isolate is, let’s explore the main topic, which is REDCON1 ISOTOPE. ISOTOPE protein is formulated for athletic people of all skill sets and backgrounds that are looking for a smooth, delicious, and easy to digest protein. Whether you are looking for something to consume post-workout or throughout the day as a snack or way to hit your macros, ISOTOPE is a good option.

ISOTOPE protein powder really checks off every box you’re looking for when deciding which whey protein isolate to purchase. The first box it checks is on the performance side of things. The next box it checks is the mixability and taste. Lastly, ISOTOPE is 100% reliable for the someone who calculates their macros with the utmost precision and accuracy.

Macros and Ingredients

REDCON1 Isotope nutrition facts

The first thing to dissect about ISOTOPE are the macronutrients and the ingredients. ISOTOPE contains no fat and only two grams of carbohydrates, but has a whopping 25 grams of protein. The recommended amount of protein to take in in one sitting is right around that mark, so ISOTOPE hits it perfectly.

As far as ingredients, ISOTOPE contains the following:

  • Whey Protein Isolate
  • Natural and Artificial Flavor
  • Salt
  • Xanthan Gum
  • Cellulose Gum
  • Sucralose
  • Acesulfame Potassium

REDCON1 makes sure that their labels are clear and concise, and you are not left wondering what you are consuming at any point. It also is worth noting that this is a milk based product, so it is not vegan friendly.

Price and Flavors

When it comes to purchasing a product, there is no doubt that price is a big part of the decision. While you do not want something that is going to break the bank, you also do not want the cheapest option on the market, and REDCON1 ISOTOPE hits that sweet spot right in the middle sitting at $44.99 for 30 servings. While it is not the cheapest option, it is certainly not a bad price for such a premium product.

As far as flavors, REDCON1 is notorious for putting out unique and delicious flavors, and they hold true to that reputation with ISOTOPE.

ISOTOPE comes in the following flavors:

  • Vanilla
  • Chocolate peanut butter
  • Chocolate

While these may not seem like the most extravagant flavors, they are delicious. Most importantly, ISOTOPE does not have the foamy texture that a lot of other whey protein isolates have, and it also does not have any aftertaste. The flavors are identical to what they advertise.

Our Verdict

No Generation Iron review would be complete without our own personal input. When it comes to the products we review, our team is sure to try each one for an extended period of time, and REDCON1 ISOTOPE was one that we thoroughly enjoyed.

ISOTOPE was great for all times of the day, whether it was post training, a snack, or even if we did not have time to prepare a full meal but still wanted to hit our macros. The taste made it like a treat. Compared to other whey isolate proteins that we have tried, ISOTOPE is definitely one of our favorites, and the price point was not bad at all compared to a lot of other products in the same category.

FAQs

Even with all of the information, you may still have a few questions that need to be addressed, so let’s dive into them!

What is the best way to mix ISOTOPE?

Ideally, you would be mixing it with water, or even another beverage such as milk.

When is the best time to consume ISOTOPE?

Although you can consume it at any time of the day, the best time to consume it in reality is right after a workout. This is because whey protein isolates are fast digesting, so it gives your body an immediate influx of the nutrients necessary to build muscle mass, so you do not miss the infamous “anabolic window”.

REDCON1 ISOTOPE Wrap Up

Overall, there are plenty of whey protein isolate products on the market. However, many of them have junk ingredients, foamy textures, or bad aftertastes. You also face the issue of outrageous prices for limited servings. With REDCON1 ISOTOPE, you do not face any of those issues, and you get a premium product that gets the job done and does not break the bank.

Will you be trying ISOTOPE?
