Ronnie Coleman reacts to Nick Walker comparisons.

Eight-time Mr. Olympia champion Ronnie Coleman recently reacted to a video of Nick Walker’s biceps being compared to his. The legendary bodybuilder had a lot to say about the comparison.

In any sporting endeavor, it’s always eventual that comparisons between athletes will be made. Whether it be in boxing, mixed martial arts, football, baseball, or bodybuilding, many will often wonder how a modern athlete compares to a legend of a bygone era. It’s great to speculate and pretty entertaining. The reality is, it’s a question with no real answer. Even in the realm of bodybuilding where we have video and photographic comparisons, if you don’t see that to athletes under the same lights on the same stage, it’s it’s impossible to come up with a definitive answer.

With that said, Ronnie Coleman took it upon himself to react to a video of Nick Walker, showcasing his immense biceps. He did so as comparisons have been made about the two mass monsters.

Walker vs Coleman

“Big Ron here,” said Ronnie Coleman, “We’re in the office today. I’m doing a reaction video to Nick Walker. He supposedly has an some body parts kind of similar to mine… I can’t wait to see this shit. Man. Let’s go.”

Nick Walker is the new wave of mass monster in the Men’s Open Bodybuilding category. Coleman ones dominated the division with his sheer size and musculature. But that wasn’t all that Coleman utilized to reign supreme. As the eight time Olympia champion puts it it’s more than just about being big. It’s the final details that make a bodybuilder world class.

During an episode of Fouad Abiad’s Bro Chat podcast, the bodybuilder and podcast host asked Nick Walker how he compared to the legend Ronnie Coleman. Bodybuilder Justin Shier gave his two cents suggesting that Walker’s arms were comparable to a prime Coleman. Walker followed up with some confidence.

“My arms are lethal weapons,” said Walker.

Ronnie’s Reaction

Upon watching the interaction Ronnie Coleman had a great deal to say.

“That’s comical,” said Ronnie Coleman. “What the fu** are they talking about!? I shouldn’t be in no way [in] this conversation.”

But that’s not all Ronnie Coleman had to say. Coleman went into a bit of detail about why size isn’t the ultimate determining factor to having great arms.

“Don’t forget it’s about separation guys. Don’t forget. You gotta have some separation,” says Coleman. “It ain’t about being big, it’s about being symmetrical and shapely.”

Ronnie Coleman even went so far as to give his prediction for the 2022 Olympia.

“It ain’t about size,” said Coleman. “We ain’t doing the size show. We’re doing bodybuilding guys.

“He’s [Nick Walker] big now, I’ll give him that. I just don’t see him beating Ramy. I don’t see that at all.”
