Lat Pulldown
The workout began with lat pulldowns. Sam Sulek opted to perform his sets with an underhand grip. Following the exercise, the group decided what to hit next. Sulek shared that he does not do many dumbbell rows.
“I’m not a dumbbell row fan. I get so much weird, cross-abdominal flexing that it makes me feel like I’m thickening my waist.”
Plate-Loaded Iso Row Machine
After deciding on plate-loaded rows, the trio began discussing workout plans. Sulek admits to not hitting shoulders much recently. This is because he is working to get his arms up to speed.
“I don’t do a lot of shoulders now. They’re rounder than my arms are by at least an inch. I’m trying to get my arms up. They’re fine for now. I’ll do them once my arms are an inch bigger.”
Tri-Set Finisher
The final three exercises were performed in a superset. This was the perfect way for the group to end an intense back day.
“I’ve been doing more chest supported. Three plates bent over was like a good set but I’ve been hitting my lower back so much. I’m trying to get wide up top.”
