Sam Sulek hit an arm workout as he prepares to take the stage in Columbus.
Sam Sulek is currently preparing for the 2025 Arnold Amateur and is hitting daily workouts to get his physique in top shape. Recently, Sulek shared a “diabolic” arm workout.
“This is going to be a skin-splitting pumped. I’m way more full than these last few weeks.”

Sulek competed at the 2025 Legends Classic in Las Vegas on Saturday. He finished first overall in the Classic Physique division at the NPC show and earned qualification for the Arnold Amateur in a few weeks. This is where Sulek will look to earn his Pro Card with another victory.
Sulek has been getting in huge lifts to get pumped ahead of the show. This workout was no different as he prepares to hit the next stage of his prep.
“For today’s lift, I’m going to be extra pumped up from having all that extra water in my system. I’m on the rebound of having filled back up from that sort of refeed rehydration and then I should level out back to normal, probably within the next couple days.”

Sam Sulek’s Arm Workout
Sulek’s recent arm day consisted of six movements with the final two being put into a superset:
- Cable Tricep Pushdown
- Close-Grip Lat Pulldowns
- Dip Machine
- Standing Dumbbell Bicep Curls
- Cable Tricep Pushdown/EZ Bar Bicep Curl – Superset
Cable Tricep Pushdown
Sulek began his workout with tricep pushdowns. He hit each movement beginning with three sets down to one before moving on.
“Reasonably heavy, not too heavy of course. I’m thinking I’ll do my standard three sets of triceps, three sets of biceps, two of bis, two of tris, one of bis, one of tris, and a superset to finish.”
Close-Grip Lat Pulldowns
Sam Sulek went over to the lat pulldown machine to hit his next movement. He focused on biceps with an underhand grip and made sure to squeeze all throughout the workout.
“I feel like I never start with bicep-bias pulldowns. This will be perfect. Very squeezed focus. Hold, slow release, hold, slow release and just repeat until failure/pumped.”
Dip Machine
Sulek moved onto the dip machine for his next sets. Once again, he made sure to squeeze the muscle to get the best pump possible.
“I think some light-squeezing dips are in order. When I say light, I really do mean it but a good squeeze.”
Standing Dumbbell Bicep Curls
The workout ended with dumbbell curls before Sulek hit his final superset to close it out.
“I’m literally more pumped than I’ve been in the last few months, for sure. Of course, it’s just intramuscular water, I’m not bigger. But for all intents and purposes, I’m more pumped.”
Sam Sulek now has one NPC show under his belt. He was able to hit all steps of his prep at the right time and knows how to time it up just right moving forward.
“It will be exactly the same game plan as normal. Dieting, cardio, calories, training, and then the whole right before the show situation, we’ll repeat with backing off on the training, calories, water loading, water pulling.”
