Sergey Danilov is training for his first-ever Olympia this year!
The bodybuilding world has a new star on the horizon with Russian bodybuilder Sergey Danilov. Since turning pro, Danilov has qualified for the 2026 Olympia and has turned heads with his insane training that has him sitting at 340 pounds to this point of the year.
Danilov began his fitness journey at a young age. He grew up with an athletic background as a hockey goaltender before transitioning into bodybuilding. He began growing his physique in 2014. Danilov currently trains at the ALMAZ gym in Russia with his coach Andrey Prokofyev, who trained fellow Russian giant Alexey Lesukov.
“He influenced my thinking in many ways. I’m very grateful to him! And to this day, he takes part in my career, without any ulterior motive, because this is our choice, this is our path.”
Danilov has been gaining steam quickly in the bodybuilding world. He was victorious during the NPC Worldwide Regional Cup in the Super Heavyweight division in 2024. Danilov would go onto turn pro that same year and prepare to make waves. In 2025, the Russian competitor won the Tsunami Nutrition Showdown France Pro, punching his ticket to the biggest competition of the year.
Sergey Danilov Training For 2026 Olympia At 340 Pounds
Sergey Danilov has shared insane workout photos and videos, displaying his work ethic used to build a 340-pound frame. He has gone as far as doing content confronting a monstrous bear in the wild. This has gained major attention for Danilov but the bulk of it comes from his work as a bodybuilder.
Danilov has started his bulk already, which is taking place for 10-12 weeks. He shared his weight of 151kg in the morning and 155kg at night, while also sharing that he has never weighed over 140kg.
“I’ve started my mass gain cycle gradually. 10-12 weeks of bulking. And by the end of this period, it will be clear what happens next. But I’ve never weighed as much as I do now, 151 kg in the morning, 155 kg in the evening.”
Danilov has his ticket to the Olympia and is scheduled to take the stage following an intense prep. He has worked with other competitors, including Vitaliy Ugolnikov, and is planning to get together once again. He will work to get a Visa while traveling this year as well but does not plan to do another pro show before the Olympia as of now.
“In theory, it’s needed. To go out and show your form. On the other hand, it’s better not to spread yourself too thin. Because there are already a lot of trips planned this year. And getting a visa.”
