Terry Crews, known for his roles in Everybody Hates Chris and The Expendables, as well as his hosting of America’s Got Talent, is someone who has always been pretty ripped. However, his recent physique photo that he posted in anticipation for the America’s Got Talent finale has shocked people. At 55 years old, Terry Crews is looking more shredded than ever, with low body fat and a great amount of muscle mass.

The photo shows him flexing his biceps, but still showing off some shredded abs, as well as prominent lats and shoulders. How does he do it though? At 55 years old, most men do not look anything like Terry Crews, as testosterone levels are usually much lower by then. However, Terry Crews puts in the work in the gym, really beating down the muscles.

Who is Terry Crews?

Full Name: Terry Alan Crews

Weight Height Date Of Birth
235-245 lbs 6’2″ 30/7/1968
Professional Era Nationality
Actors, Former NFL Player 1990 American

As stated above, Terry Crews is the host of AGT and has had some big roles in film and TV. However, he also played in the NFL, playing for some of the top NFL teams, including Los Angeles Rams, Washington Redskins, Philadelphia Eagles, and the San Diego Chargers. With a career like that, it is no wonder that he stays in shape even nowadays.

After his career in football, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting, and he debuted in Hollywood in 2000 with the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie “The 6th Day.” From there, he landed more roles, and continued to train hard, making sure to stay on top of his physique. That being said, we dug up some workout videos from the AGT host, and now we are going to present it to you

Terry Crews’ Back Workout

One person that has some intensity in their workouts is CT Fletcher. Fletcher is the subject of the movie CT Fletcher: My Magnificent Obsession, which was produced by Vladar Films. He is known for grueling workouts, and Terry Crews has joined him on several occasions, particularly going through an intense back day that was held at CT’s gym.

All of that being said, let’s take a look at Terry Crews’ back workout that can be found on YouTube. With workouts like these, it is no wonder that he is still in crazy shape at 55 years old.

Deadlifts

The group starts out with some intense deadlifts, pulling some heavy weight for serious reps. Terry hits a 405 deadlift for 4 reps, before jumping to 495 and hitting it for 3 reps. People half his age walk into the gym and cannot get even close to lifting like that.

T-Bar Row

Terry and the group move onto the chest supported t-bar row, an exercise that really isolates and stretches the lats. Again, heavy weight for serious reps, Terry works up to 5 plates for 5 reps, which is a lot for that exercise.

Cable Row

They then move onto the cable row, with a close grip. On this exercise, the exact weight was unknown, but we can only assume it was heavy, and they still hit it for high reps. CT has Terry take the final set to absolute muscular failure, with CT screaming the entire time. How can you not be motivated after that?

Single Arm Preacher Curls

After discussing how he hits biceps every day, CT then has them doing single arm preacher curls with a dumbbell. They make sure to get a nice mind-muscle connection with a full range of motion, really squeezing the muscle. This was also taken to failure.

Terry Crews Diet

Now, with all that muscle mass, low body fat, and intense training, the diet of Terry Crews is something that truly has an effect. However, he does not believe in bulking and cutting, but instead staying in shape year round, as he wants to always be able to take his shirt off. He also does not force feed himself chicken and rice 8 times a day.

Instead, Crews follows a 16:8 Intermittent fasting (IF) diet. He fasts for 16 hours straight and eats anywhere between 3-4 meals in an eight-hour window, which might not seem like a lot but he makes the most out of his meals, and makes sure to hit his macronutrients.

After his fast is over, Terry eats his first meal at 2 pm, and his biggest meal comes at around 10 pm, right before bed. Terry has stated that eating his biggest meal at night helps his body produce more testosterone and human growth hormone while he sleeps – giving him more fuel for his workout for the next morning. During his fasting periods, Terry drinks a good amount of green tea and amino acids.

Diet Regimen

Meal 0 (5 am): “Meal” is a loose term here, as all he consumes at this point in time is a glass of amino acids. He drinks a gallon of amino acids a day.

Terry might also have a cup or two of coffee in a day, but with coconut oil and no sugar or cream. The oil provides healthy fats that his body needs in a fasting cycle.

Meal 1 (2 pm): Eggs and bacon with a salad, or a charcuterie board filled with salami, cheeses, bread, and of course, almonds.

Meal 2 (5 pm): Protein shake.

Meal 3 (8 pm): Bread, pasta, bison ribeye, sweet potatoes, and broccoli.

Snack (10 pm): Cheesecake/Pudding/Pie/Pinkberry

Terry loves dessert, and he eats it right before bed to help load him up for the next day’s workout. For something like cheesecake, he uses a flour base for the cake. He also has his cheat days, where he will get his junk food fix.

Wrap Up

Overall, Terry Crews is 55 years old and still ripped. After posting some updated physique pictures before the season finale of America’s Got Talent, people were shocked with how good he looked. However, after looking at his diet, and workouts like the one he did with CT Fletcher, it is no surprise that the movie star is still that jacked.
