Wesley Vissers discussed his favorite tricep movements!
Wesley Vissers has made a name for himself in recent years in the Classic Physique division. Recently, he shared his favorite triceps movements to do to build muscle.
Vissers pulled off an upset at the Arnold Classic when he defeated Ramon Dino, who has been the runner-up in each of the last two Olympia competitions. Standing tall at 6’2” and weighing from 216 lbs to 234 lbs, the physique that Vissers has crafted has earned him a lot of respect and popularity in the bodybuilding world.
At the 2024 Olympia, Vissers slipped down the scorecard to seventh. Now, he is working to make improvements to take the stage once again and punch his ticket for 2025.
Wesley Vissers Top 3 Tricep Exercises
Vissers broke down his three favorite movements to hit during arm day:
Overhead Cable Tricep Extensions
Vissers begins the workout with overhead cable tricep extensions. He completes four sets of 10-15 reps while making sure he gets a good stretch in the muscle. Vissers explains how he uses a cable over a dumbbell to keep tension on the tricep even more.
“Anything that stretches out the triceps overhead because the moment you do this with your arm, you get a great stretch here and as we all know, the more you stretch the muscle under a load, the more it’ll grow.”

Side Cable Tricep Extensions
Wesley Vissers moved onto side cable tricep extensions. When performing this exercise, Vissers shows viewers where to grab the cable if there is no ankle cuff available.
“Put your hand in here and now also look at the cable, as I’m going down, look at how my arm is positioned in this cable. We are going in the same direction.”
Cable Pushdowns
The final exercise of the session was cable pushdowns. Vissers really focused on form and smoothness in the movement here.
“Go all the way up, go all the way down. It feels great now but imagine, year after year of doing this, the tension is going straight up but the elbow is going to the side so it’s not really weird torque and tension to the elbow, which is not what we want. We want to work the muscle.”
