Zac Efron completely transformed his physique in a different way.

Zac Efron is one of the biggest names in Hollywood and became known for his looks on the big screen early in his career. This includes his shredded physique that he has transformed many times for many different roles. Recently, it took a new challenge for the actor. Efron has been featured in movies such as Baywatch where he had to cut weight and shred in a big way. For his role as a professional wrestler in The Iron Claw, Efron went the other way and bulked up during his transformation.

During a recent Instagram post, Efron shared pictures from the movie and showed respect for the work done in the professional wrestling world.

“I have so much admiration and respect for the world of Professional Wrestling and to the sacrifice and dedication of the athletes…
These guys tour for MONTHS putting their bodies on the line everyday to perform.”

The Iron Claw was released on Dec. 22 and received rave reviews out of the gate. Efron, along with Jeremy Allen White, played pro wrestling brothers in a family that was at the top of the sport.

White burst not the scene as Lip Gallagher in Shameless. He continued to gain momentum as he played chef Carmy Berzaton in FX’s The Bear. Now, White will be alongside Efron as the two take part in a movie about a family inside professional wrestling. To prepare for the part, White told GQ that he timed to put on 40 pounds of muscle.

Zac Efron’s Bulking Workout

Zac Efron did a caloric surplus for this movie to add muscle to his frame. This involves eating more calories than you burn to gain weight. However, bulking doesn’t mean just eating anything; focusing on nutrients like protein to promote muscle growth is essential. In addition, you have to be careful with the foods and the calories you consume in proportion to your training regimen.

Exercises
Overhead Squats
Pull-Ups
Back Extensions
Weighted Hanging Leg Raises
Incline Bench Presses

Zac Efron continues to work hard in and out of the gym. It is clear that he knows what it takes to build the best physique possible and can transform it to whatever role he is playing.
