Behrouz Tabani Secures U.S. Visa, Officially Set to Compete at 2026 Mr. Olympia

One of the biggest lingering questions surrounding Behrouz Tabani’s 2026 Mr. Olympia campaign has finally been answered. The Iranian Men’s Open star announced on Sunday that he has received his U.S. visa, officially clearing the travel hurdle that has repeatedly complicated his bodybuilding career.

Tabani shared the news on Instagram, revealing that he had received his second U.S. visa.

“Received my second USA visa today,” Tabani wrote alongside an American flag and prayer emoji.

The announcement means Tabani can now turn his complete attention toward the 2026 Mr. Olympia, where he will make his second consecutive appearance on bodybuilding’s biggest stage.

Behrouz Tabani’s Long History of Visa Problems

For Tabani, receiving a visa is much bigger news than it might be for most Olympia competitors.

Travel issues have repeatedly prevented the Iranian bodybuilder from competing in major contests despite being qualified and prepared to step on stage.

Tabani qualified for the 2024 Mr. Olympia after putting together a tremendous season that included victories at the Flex Weekend Pro and Dubai Pro. However, visa issues ultimately kept him from traveling to the United States and competing at the Olympia.

The same problem nearly followed him into 2025. Tabani once again qualified for the Olympia, but his U.S. visa remained uncertain until shortly before the contest. He eventually received approval roughly one week before Olympia weekend and made the trip to Las Vegas.

Tabani finally made his long-awaited Olympia debut and finished 11th in a loaded Men’s Open lineup.

Visa Problems Followed Tabani Into the 2026 Season

Unfortunately, Tabani’s travel difficulties did not disappear following his Olympia debut.

Earlier this season, Tabani was forced out of the 2026 Empro Classic following another visa denial. He also faced uncertainty surrounding his ability to compete at the Portugal Pro.

More recently, Generation Iron reported that Tabani finally received approval for a Chinese visa after weeks of uncertainty, allowing him to compete at the 2026 China Pro. The contest proved crucial to his season, as Tabani ultimately secured his place in the 2026 Olympia lineup.

The IFBB Pro League’s official list of qualified athletes now includes Tabani among the competitors set for the 2026 Mr. Olympia.

Now, the most important piece of the puzzle has fallen into place.

Behrouz Tabani Is Officially a Go for the Olympia

Unlike previous years, Tabani can solely focus on Olympia preparation without wondering whether he will actually be allowed to enter the United States.

That could make Tabani an especially intriguing name heading into this year’s contest. Fans and fellow competitors respect Tabani for his dense muscle, conditioning, and overall completeness – but his career has frequently been interrupted by circumstances completely outside of his control.

This time, there is no visa drama standing between Behrouz Tabani and the Olympia stage.
