Could we see the former two-time Mr. Olympia return to competition this year?
Former Olympia champion Big Ramy has not competed in two years. During that time, he has been quiet on the bodybuilding scene but could that be changing moving forward? While at the Fibo Championships last weekend, Big Ramy was asked about his future and he shared that there is a high chance that he competes at the 2025 Olympia.

Ramy made his IFBB Pro debut at none other than the New York Pro in 2014 and won. Following this win, he won several major competitions, working his way up to earning a 1st place win at the 2020 Mr. Olympia contest, cementing his place in the history books. Big Ramy has made a huge name for himself and is very popular in the bodybuilding community.
Big Ramy reached the pinnacle of the sport winning back-to-back Olympia titles in 2020 Olympia and 2021 Olympia. He returned to defend his title in the 2022 Mr. Olympiabefore falling to fifth place. Ramy did not compete at the event last year and will be absent once again come October.

Will Big Ramy Compete at 2025 Olympia?
Big Ramy took a major fall from grace around the time of his last competition. He took a hiatus with improvements in mind and believes that he is close to stage-ready. As a former champion, Ramy is qualified for the Olympia. It will come down to whether he believes he is ready.
“I’m trying my best to be in Olympia this year. I fixed many problems with my muscles. I can’t say 100% but I can say 80% I will be back on stage this year. I’ll try.”
Big Ramy knew what he needed to improve following his last competition in 2023. He believes that he has put the work in and is stronger than ever right now. If he is not able to bring his best package to the stage, Ramy will not return to the stage.
“I’m trying my best to be back but I need to come back without an issue. That’s my goal and I need to get back onstage. I need to be stronger than before. If I can’t come back with what I need, I don’t like to go on stage anymore.”
There is just one bodybuilder that lost his Olympia title and was able to win it back. Jay Cutler won two straight titles in 2006-07 before losing the very next year. Cutler returned in 2009 and was able to put together a stretch of two more victories.
Big Ramy has a chance to accomplish this feat and make bodybuilding history if he is able to return and win another title.
