Branch Warren believes that James Hollingshead can make some noise this weekend.

James Hollingshead has been open about his prep for the 2024 Arnold Classic. Recently, he has been turning heads and this includes Branch Warren. He recently led Hollingshead through a workout and spoke on his potential in Columbus this weekend.

Hollingshead has remained confident heading into the Arnold, claiming that he can defeat Samson Dauda. He has become known for his impressive size and conditioning and is waiting to take the next step in Men’s Open. Now, he will take the stage at the Arnold Classic with a lot of money on the line, which he believes makes the risk of PEDs worth it. Hollingshead has been open about his use of PEDs and has built an impressive physique paired with hard work.

Warren spoke on Hollingshead’s physique on his Instagram story recently.

“Just trained with James, man. He’s five days out from the Arnold. Man, I’m most impressed with how he’s maintained his size this offseason. I saw him guest pose last year in Sweden and over 300 pounds and he’s maintained all that size and just got lean and got in shape.”

Warren continued to go into detail, including on if he believes Hollingshead has a chance to win the show.

Branch Warren: “He’s Going To Be Fighting For The Title”

Branch Warren knows a thing or two about success on the Arnold Classic stage. He is a two-time Arnold champion and believes James Hollingshead can contend for his first this weekend.

Warren spoke on the overall look of Hollingshead’s physique and what needs to be done to improve.

“Structurally wise, he’s got narrow clavicles but he’s overcome that because he’s put on so much muscle. His chest, arms, quads are insane and he’s got a good waist. You know, for being, I think he’s 270 or 275 pounds right now. So for a big man, it’s got a very good waist taper. Upper back looks really good.

He just needs to dry up a little but and I think his lower back, glutes, need to drop a little bit. He’s got five days to do that so that’s plenty of time and he’s going to be fighting for the title.”

The Men’s Open lineup for the 2024 Arnold Classic is a loaded one. It begins with former Olympia champion Hadi Choopan. The Persian Wolf will be making his debut at the Arnold Classic. Of course, he has plenty of experience on big stages with an Olympia title and multiple top three finishes under his belt. Reigning champion Samson Dauda will also return after a successful 2023 season. He finished third at the 2023 Olympia, behind Choopan and Derek Lunsford.

It will be interesting to see if James Hollingshead can make the improvements suggested by Branch Warren ahead of the weekend. If so, he can contend for a spot in the top three or maybe even the title.
